Even more surprising that she was able to beat Jankovic. It shows how good she is as a player. Nice to see her back. She is playing well but not like her usual self when she was a regular on tour.

I hope she get healthy and play well in 2008.

This was more than surprising! And now she has won her first round match 6-2 6-0...sounds like she is back in action, like she never left! I think this will greatly help the tour; with both Williams' playing, Henin finally becoming a nice person, and Davenport returning to the tour, women's tennis should be fantastic next year! Now only if we could get Clijsters and Seles to unretire... Wink

Well I don't know about Seles. But Clijsters could be a possiblity.

Davenport is quite amazing... to be able to come back as if she had been playing all this time is incredible.

As far as I know, Seles wants to make one last stretch of tournaments before retiring....
