Operated appendicitis: 18/03/2007

Amélie has just undergone an operation of appendicitis. She will miss tournaments for one one month duration

Suffering from multiple pains to the belly for a few days, Amélie had pushed back her departure envisaged Saturday to pass a series of medical examinations. Echography revealed an ignition of the appendix. The number one Frenchwoman thus entered in private clinic this morning to undergo the intervention which proceeded very well. One should find Amélie on the courts for the season on European clay.

Hopefully she will be ready for RG. Every year I am routing for her to win at RG. If there is only one more win in her. let that be at the French Open.

At least it is only one month. But it will do lots to her ranking. But I think it is good because she will be well rested for the clay court season.

I am not sure if it will affect her ranking. Don't think she played much last spring ... or did she?

Too bad she has to miss a full month. Luckily, she'll only be missing Miami and two clay court tournanents....
