I saw the points yesterday...wow
almost 4000 points between him and Nadal and 6000 between Roddick!
has the point spread ever been this wide?

Very good question to ask the ATP statistitians.
Also Federer said that he was never really been threatened during this span except for Wimbledon 2004. Had he lost to Roddick, he could have lost his No1 later in the year. Imagine that! WHo would have ever thought that someone would break the old record so easily. Even if he is hit by bus and never plays again, it will take a year to loos the No1 spot!!!

An amazing feat. Shows how dominant he is. Even if you notch wins against him by looking at his points spread that rattler posted it will take much more than a couple of losses
