TENNIS Magazine: Your comeback has been something of a fairytale Yodavitch, especially the highlight: regaining the Australian Open crown, something that we know you hold dear to your heart. Can you describe your emotions when you realised you were definitely back at the top of the game?
Yodavitch: It has been amazing, absolutely amazing. I don't even have the words to decribe my emotions when I won that final point in Australia. The more I think about it, the more I truly believe that my long injury was the greatest thing for my career. I realized how much I loved the sport. This has shown so much for me, especially in finals. Before I used to get very nervous, but now I feel like I can put my whole heart into it; I can just swing freely.
TENNIS Magazine: Another remarkable feature of your oustanding comeback is your unbeaten run this season which has left critics lost for words. How are you keeping your head together under this intense pressure right now? How long do you actually think you can keep this going?
Yodavitch: The thing is I am not feeling the pressure. Not that there isn't a lot of pressure, but I've just learned to block it out. I have nothing to lose I feel when I play matches. Being unbeaten this year is really fantastic as well, but I'm not going to let it catch me off guard. I will try to stay relaxed.
TENNIS Magazine: Finally, a certain abnormal writer has christened you "Yoda". Apart from being green and furry, are there any comparisons between you and the character from Star Wars?
Yodavitch: Lol! Well being compared to Yoda is quite a feat Laughing . I just hope I don't look like him!
TENNIS Magazine: (laughs) Well thanks a lot for talking to us, and we wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season, if anyone deserves it you do "Yoda".
