Tennis Canada: Congratulations stevos14 on starting your year the same way as you did last year: with a tournament win! How does it feel to successfully defend a title and now be Number 3 in the Race rankings?

stevos14: It feels so good. It's been a long time since my last tournament win, and I really adore this venue. Last year Dav6789 and myself played an amazing final match, it was great to defend that.

And being number 3 is a cool accomplishment, even though it's only our first tournament. I really support this new idea, and I think it will make our tour a lot more interesting and exciting. I know some people didn't see the value of it, but I definitely do.

Tennis Canada: How do you see your chances heading into the Australian Open? Who do you expect to have a good chance to make a deep run?

stevos14: I have very mixed feelings about that. At first, I'm happy because I've had a good win just before. At the same time, I have doubts about my chances there since my other Grand Slam rounds have all been, like, 32 at the most. It's pretty pathetic. I really want to break that hurdle this time though and really do well, I'd be happy with a round of 16!
