General Rules
Posting: Please be respectful of other people's views. Make sure you talk about TENNIS and not about how much you like fries.
Profanity: There will be no strict rules about profanity on this site. However, if someone is abusing these freedoms, they may be banned from the entire discussion board. If it continues with other posters, the rules may have to become more strict. Any profanity directed towards other members will be taken much more seriously. Keep it clean and the occasional slip will go unnoticed!
Forum Government
Moderators: Moderators are apointed by the administrator. They may assist the administrator or run a certain section of the forum. They may edit or delete individual posts if rules are broken in that specific message. All members are obligated to listen to them in their respective sections concerning rules and regulations in that section.
The Council: The Council is voted on by all members of the forum, not including the administrator. Elections occur in indefinite intervals, usually consisting of approximate monthly terms. Three members are apointed based on the total number of votes onto the Council. These three will divide up moderating powers within the Council over the three major tennis dicussion sections of the forum (Current Tournaments, Tennis Polls, and Member Discussion). All three members will in addition be moderators over Member Announcements. The Council will have a private section of the forum to discuss any matters relating to the forum including site promotion, forum management, or any other topics relating to the success of the forum. They can create or change rules for the forum if a majority agrees (2 out of 3). The administrator has the power to veto any rules passed or changed by the Council if he strongly opposes the modification.
These rules apply to everybody and are the basis for the structure of this forum. The administrator has the power to add or change any of these rules at any time. However in order to add or change a rule the administrator must have at least one vote from the Council.
