I think you are wrong PSALT, I watched the first set and Sharapova definitely saved a set point, 30-40 down on her serve at 5-6, with an ace!

I'm surpise that Huntchova even got as far as she did. Let alone taking the 2 set from Sharapova after getting crushed 6-1 in the first

Hantuchova's a tricky player... however, there's only so much you can do when you're being over-powered. Good for her, though.

Just watched the match. Hantuchova was not playing smart at all in the first, going for way too much. Then in the second she moved sharapova around brilliantly.
In the third sharapova just overpowered her. End of story. Funny how Sharapova won a tier 1 beating Bacsinkzy, Srebotnik and Hantuchova! Those are like Grand Slams first, second, third rounds.

That's disappointingly sad. She didn't have to play one top 10 player. And yet she lost a set while at the Acura and IW, she didn't lose one.

Sadly, Sharapova did receive a Petrova-like draw. I guess that happens from time to time.....

Her draw could have been tougher, but all the good players lost before they got to her. Mauresmo got injured, and Kuznetsova stinks at indoors anyway.
