ITF: Congratulations x.doublea on earning your first US Open semifinals! You are the only player on tour to make the quarterfinals of all four Grand Slams. How does it feel to have that type of distinction?

x.doublea: Two semifinals and two quarterfinals isn't bad at all. I knew I could do it (semifinals) at the US Open and the AO... I feel quite comfortable with both the DecoTurf and the Rebound Ace, and the new hard courts being introduced to the AO should make it easier for me there. I was really please with my clay court season and my French Open. No one expected me to do so well during the clay-court season. Quarterfinals there is a huge starting point for an all-courter like me. I was really disappointed with Wimbledon though. I thought I had a great chance at the title, and then I lost to Mollusk in straight sets. That sort of dropped my emotions, and I was sort of dormant during the US Open Series. That makes this semifinal here at the US Open just that much more jubilant. There's definitely still room for improvement, though.

ITF: You seem to do pretty well on all surfaces and at the Grand Slams. Which Grand Slam do you hold dearest?

x.doublea: You know, I love all of them. US Open has a great atmosphere and hype, Wimbledon is just so calm, and I love it. The French is so cultural, and the AO is just always a thrill to play at; it has the atmosphere of the US Open, in a more relaxed and less crazy way! But, if I had to choose one Grand Slam to win, it would be Wimbledon.

ITF: What's next for you?

x.doublea: Well, I'm planning to play in the three remaining Teir I's, and then the Canadian Open, a Teir II. I'm looking to do well in Canada; I would love to win it for my home fans. I might just get enough points for the Federer's Masters Cup, too, so I'll be hungry for one of those eight spots!

ITF: Thank you, x.doublea, and good luck in the race to Zurich!
