Yes, I think that's the only way it would work.... there are a very limiated number of courts too.... I think Madrid only has four courts. San Jose only has one.

Mauresmo was 6-1 5-2 up and had 3 match points! That's a huge comeback for Vaidisova.

The SF are quite interesting.

Petrova is in-form again, and Vaidisova is having a good run so that should be a good match. Chakvetadze and Dementieva is interesting aswell. Chakvetadze has not lost since Beijing (to Davenport). She won the title in Guangzhou and is very confident. Dementieva is the favourite, but I wouldn't bet against an upset. Right now I'm thinking a Petrova-Dementieva final.

In Bangkok, Wimbledon Quarter-Finalist Bremond reached her first semi, and plays home favourite Tanasugarn. The other semi is all-American, King v Shaughnessy. Shaughnessy is still the only American to win a singles title this year.
Wow a good comeback for Vadisova. There's going to be lots of confidence with her.

Shocking result! Ana Chakvetadze beat the 5th seed Nadia Petrova 6-4 6-4! Both players were looking for the 2nd consecutive title. This is a great result by her, although she was helped with the pull-out of 2nd seed Maria Sharapova in the QF, and that Petrova was struggling with injuries in the final. Chakvetadze is in-form right now though.

At the Bangkok Open, American Vania King won her first WTA singles title, beatine home favourite Tamarine Tanasugarn 2-6 6-4 6-4. She was 2-4 down in the final set before winning 4 straight games. King is also in the doubles final with Jelena Kostanic against Mariana Diaz-Oliva and Natalie Grandin. King and Kostanic are going for their 2nd straight title, and Diaz-Oliva is playing her last match.

I can't help but feel happy that Petrova lost... don't know why, but it seems that this forum hates Petrova, even when she somewhat deserves it. Laughing

How does San Jose operate with just one court?

No idea, but all they have is the main arena at the HP Pavillion. (I'm pretty sure that's the only court....)

Davydenko has defeated Safin 64 57 64 to win the Kremlin Cup. Davyenko was just better serving and returning....

Davydenko said alot about him playing better than Safin right now, and that he actually wanted to play him in the final. I think he wants everyone to know, especially in Russia that he is the best at the moment because he has been overshadowed by Safin and Youzhny in the past. Perhaps a Russian rivalry will take place next year.

At the Bangkok Open, Vania King won the doubles title aswell, her 2nd in a row with Kostanic, beating Diaz-Oliva and Grandin 7-5 2-6 7-5.

YES!!! Very Happy Goooo Anna and Vania!! Very Happy

And yes, the HP Pavilion only has one court. Isn't that just like the WTA championships before they moved to Madrid? They only used the Staples Center.
