Does anyone know what hair dye she uses olde' "Tati".

Another WONDERFUL WTA nickname...a cross between slang for "Potato" and the word "Tacky", right up Golovin's street then, yes?

Using petnames is almost nonextistant for me, but I think Tati is one of the better ones. Much better than Lena D, Kuzy, MoMo. I am a fan of the "Fugly Belgian" for Henin though. Who though of that one? Somebody from Tennis.com I know....

At least "Tati" is the full beginning of her name. "Lena D" is hilarious though. As I think messagesent said on the tennis.com boards, it sounds like a rapper name. Laughing Right up there with Bepa Z. Kuzy is ok, I don't mind using it. Momo is funny, just like Juju as Justine fans call her. Masha is at least ok, it's Maria in Russian(i think), but it just sounds WEIRD when you say it out loud.

Tati is just shortening her first name. It's not the The Rat or something like that.

Where does Bepa come from anyway??

4th seed Nadia Petrova won her 6th singles title, and first since May. She beat Tatiana Golovin 6-3 7-6. Golovin is still without a WTA title.

At the Japan Open, top seed Marion Bartoli won her second singles title beating home favourite Aiko Nakamura 2-6 6-2 6-2. Bartoli has now won 13 of her last 16 matches stretching back to the US Open. It was also her birthday this week. Vania King and Jelena Kostanic won their first title together over Yung-Jan Chan and Chia-Jung Chuang 7-6 5-7 6-2. It is only their second event together after reaching the final in Seoul last week. It is King's first WTA title.

At the Tashkent Open, Tiantian Sun spolied the run of Uzbek Iroda Tulyaganova, beating her 6-2 6-4. This is still a good result for the former world number 16, and hopefully she can build on this to get back to the top. 4th seeds Victoria Azarenka and Tatiana Poutchek won the doubles title.

That really sucks. I was wishing Tati was going to pull this on out. Tati will get her titles soon enough though.

People thought it to be that way, but anyway, when "Maria" is spelled in Russian, it does look like "Masha" anyway. And "Vera" in Russian looks like "Bepa". But anyway, funny Russian nicknames. Laughing

Too bad for Tatiana. Was hoping she could pull it off. Ah well. She's still very young, she has many chances in the future.

Masha is russian for Maria. It is kinda funny how it is the beginning of her first name and then her last.

Tati will get her Titiles at some point in the near future.

Nadia Petrova's garage is getting fuller. She won a motorbike in February at Doha and now a Porsche.

Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur won their first title since the French Open. The number 1 team have already qualified for Madrid.

Perhaps Petrova actually earned this title this time! Good win for her... nice to see Golovin coming back after that sad injury at the Nasdaq-100....

I think Petrova's win over JHH was impressive considering it was only the 2nd time she beat her and that she lost to her in the final last year. It was a real suprise and she had to work hard for it. She was incredibly lucky in Amelia Island and Charleston though.
