Wow. Two days in a row. I can’t believe this. Who would have ever thought that I would win two tournaments in a row. This one was even more spectacular than the last.

Today I played in the Mirza Grass, a tournament in India. My first match was against Harriet, who is one of the weaker players on tour. I handled her easily 6-1 6-3. In the quarters I was to play against Alice, the third seeded player in the tournament. She had given me trouble in earlier tournaments, so I was quite nervous going into this one. I prevailed in the first set 6-4, but then faltered after my first serve failed me and lost the second set 6-4. I stormed back in the third playing great serve and volley tennis and won 6-4.

I was now set to face Valkyrie in the semifinals. Valkyrie had defeated me in past tournaments. She is a tough player who knows how to exploit my game. I lost one set, but did end up winning the match to reach my second straight final. I was now set to face PSALT.

This was going to be the toughest match of my career. PSALT was the top seed in the tournament, and seventh ranked player in the world. He is also one of my very good friends on the tour. PSALT is also American, and is my partner for the Team Cup. In the first set he showed his dominance and beat me down 6-3. I stormed back in the second set and won 7-6. The third set he become very flustered by my serve and volley and was unable to break me. I returned well also, breaking him twice, and won the set 6-3 to capture my second title of the year.

After the match I called leftys to see what was going on with her. She didn’t answer so I left a message telling her I won and to call me back.

4 hours later as I tucked myself into bed, she still hadn’t called yet…
