All members will be able to vote for 3 people for the council. In the end, 3 members will end up being elected onto the council. They will each moderate a general section (Current Tournaments, Polls, Member Discussion), selecting them in a private section of their own that only the council can read. In this section they can discuss issues and problems that they can bring to me (the admin) or deal with them themselves. There will be re-elections every few weeks (there will be no exact set "term" time), and all of the topics in the private section will be removed before hand so that the new council members cannot read the old council discussions. A member may get elected as many times as he or she wants to, so if they do an excellent job and the forum wants them back again, they can get re-elected. You cannot vote for yourselves. All votes will be sent to be by means of a single Private Message, and I will reply to say that I have received your votes (so you know it got through). Nobody else will be able to see your votes, so there is complete privacy. In fact, you will not even get to see the # of votes someone received. I also have veto power if I believe a member is for some reason not worthy of being on the council (although this is highly unlikely).
Council Member Requirements
-Must be at least a Qualifyer (20 posts or above), although I suggest Early Round Competitors unless the member is known well.
-Must know the workings of the forum well, and must respect the rules and understand them. They must not be extreme violators of these rules either.
-You cannot vote for yourselves.
-Must be willing to be an active member and be active in the council.
Council Responsibilities
-Deleting posts which are short and extremely insignifigant that bring absolutely nothing to the discussion at hand.
-Deleting posts that begin with "yeah," or "yeah..." or just "Yeah", unless the "yeah" serves a purpose in the start of the post.
-Discussing issues and problems (or even ideas), and bringing anything of great importance to my attention.
-Helping to improve the forum life in any way possible.
Elections begin now. You can change your votes as much as you want to, but you must acknowledge that you are changing your votes when sending me your new one. Please list who you voted for before and who your new selections are.
Elections close Friday afternoon March 17th (EST) so make sure you have your votes in my then!
