Lindsay has a nice draw Dave, you should be thrilled! Very Happy

Yes she has Klara Koukalova in her first match. Koukalova has had a dismal season so far, not reaching the QF of any event so far. Last year was a great season for her with 2 titles and a final. She really has lost her form. Schnyder just lost in New Haven, and Davenport should be able to handle her. That brings her to a QF meeting with (likely) JHH. I really hope Davenport could progress from there. JHH only has been past the 4th round once before, and that was when she won the title in 03.[/quote

I actually would not be suprised if Henin gets upset (I still have to look at the draw first), she is not great when she has long layoffs. If she does get to the QF and Lindsay has hit a stride I would pick Lindsay over her. Lindsay is much better coming back from an injury or break than Henin.

Baghdatis is playing really poorly lately. Agassi will win and then loose to Roddick.

Then again the Cypriot comes alive in GS... who knows? It will be interesting.

I think apart from that though, she has a relatively soft quarter except for Lindsay. A semi is basically given for Sharapova(again). Poor Mauresmo has such a tough quarter. Sad

Just looking at your picks PSALT. I hope so too! What a dream that would be! I wouldn't mind sacraficing points to see Lindsay make it to the final! Of course, I hope Roddick will win. He's in a pretty tough section though, I would be thrilled to see him through. Cool

haha, neither Federer nor Nadal have looked great. I honestly think we will have our first non Federer or Nadal Slam winner since Safin!

Davenport has a chance, Clijsters is gone, Henin and Mauresmo have been out, and then there's just ChokerPova!

I will be like if either or both win the USO. Laughing

But then about Sharapova, if she is in form throughout her matches, I actually wouldn't count her out of this. She hasn't looked too bad in her matches this summer apart from the Dementieva match at Carson. But anyway, this is really wide open, for all we know, Dementieva could win too!

True Baghdatis hasn't been playing well lately. But Aggasi is 36. All these Tennis is going to take it's toll. And like you said Baghdatis can but alive in GS

I think Agassi will put EVERYTHING into this tournament, his last event. Age won't come into it. He has not played for a while so physically he will be quite fresh (if he has sorted his injury). I highly doubt that any of his matches will be on a court other than Arthur Ashe Stadium. He will have all of the crowd on his side, it willl be a special moment. If he plays Baghdatis, I think he could win. Many players can fold under situations like that, especially inexperienced ones like Baghdatis. He has a very tough draw, but that has not stopped him in the past.

Yeah! I agree and I have high expectations from Agassi. At least I am hoping! Very Happy

I would love to see Agassi win it all like Sampras did. Otherwise, I 'd rather see him loose to Roddick and then Andy going all the way and win it all.

Agassi has a chance against anyone I think. My major 'fear' for him is whether he can withstain the two weeks. I think we're in for a big ending for him, bit if he loses early, I'm just going to go so mad.

I don't think he won't be able to stand the 2 weeks. In grand slams you get a day off after each match which will help Agassi. He will out everything he has into this tournament, I don't think even he is thinking about his age.

I hope he doesn't think about his age, buecause that's when he starts playing strangely- not going out on everything. I hope he can withstand it, but then, he can't afford three-four five set matches this time (like last year).
