Urg, maybe joining FWTL wasn't such a great idea, I am clueless with 100 points.
No leftys you are right up there! Just keep tinkering, you have time before the Australian to sort your game out...you are really close
Thanks. I'll see how I do in FWTL and take a look at my points. _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

Hobart Round of 16: (5) Kim Cljisters vs Venus Williams
Venus Williams dfts (5) Kim Cljisters 7-6 (8 ) 1-6 6-4
This is a surprising result indeed! Venus played some really on and off tennis but Kim's reluctance to alter her gameplan meant she payed the price! She has to be more prepared to mix it up and not just blindly hit the ball. Not the prettiest of matches. _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Hobart Round of 16: Ai Sugiyama vs (7) Elena Dementieva
Ai Sugiyama dfts (7) Elena Dementieva 7-5 6-4
Ai was prepared for the resilience of Elena! Her tranquil and consistent play meant that Dementieva was unable to force a choke out of her and she just waited for the right moment and took the set. Really impressive performance, she could be tough this week...as long as she doesn't get too drunk! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Oh-my-God. I cannot believe this result. What a match from Lindsay! In the first two sets the pair were inseparable; going toe-to-toe. Steffi had three match points in the second set tiebreak but Lindsay saved them with some clunch play! In the third set Lindsay was just the more consistent of the two and Steffi perhaps went for her shots too much! Loved this match and this could make Lindsay favourite for the title! Brilliant stuff! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Hobart Quarter-Finals: (8 ) Amelie Mauresmo vs (3) Martina Hingis
(3) Martina Hingis dfts (8 ) Amelie Mauresmo 6-4 6-2
Martina seriously has Amelie's number. She is flawlessly consistent and is into yet another Semi-Final! She can hold serve and break serve and just generally tends to win games and points with little moments of genius. Her play is beautiful to watch but she may find it difficult against hard-hitting Davenport! Good match. _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Hobart Quarter-Finals: Serena Williams vs Venus Williams
Serena Williams dfts Venus Williams 6-4 7-5
The younger sister battles through well here and looks in really good form. The key here was the serve; Venus just through everything she had at Serena at the beginning of sets but the younger sister's serve helped her out of tricky situations. She was stronger at the end of sets and was as solid as a rock mentally. Good performance! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Hobart Quarter-Finals: Ai Sugiyama vs (2) Ana Ivanovic
(2) Ana Ivanovic dfts Ai Sugiyama 7-6 5-7 7-6
A rusty start to this tournament from the number 2 player in the world. Ai didn't do much with her tennis; she put the match on Ana's raquet and the Serb made a meal of it! She will not be happy with this performance but a win is a win. I wonder whether she should work a bit harder on her strategy. She will have to raise her game for Serena in the Semi's but at least Steffi, her main rival, is out which means she has a great chance at becoming number 1 and winning her first title! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

This sucks!
Definitely time to change Kim's game plan.
Her second set strategy works beause she is 3-0 in second sets, but need to re-think set-1 and set-3 working with 110pts

Just keep testing...my match notes from the other tournament should reveal more to you! I really like your second set actually! Keep trying Kimmy _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

6th seed Lindsay Davenport upset top seed Steffi Graf 6-7 7-6 6-2 in the 2nd round of the Hobart International earlier today. Graf, last week's Gold Coast champion, edged the first set on a tie-break. She had three match points in the second set tie-break, but Davenport responded with some powerful play to win the tie-break, then storm through the final set 6-2. Davenport said on her victory,
"I am absolutely thrilled with this win. I am playing really well at the moment and it is good to start a season in good form. I hope I can continue this and hopefully get to the final. Steffi is a great player as we saw last week, so it is great for my confidence to have beaten her. "
In the first round, Davenport defeated Justine Henin 6-2 7-6 for her first win on the WTT tour.
Before this tournament, Davenport had only played Ana Ivanovic this year. She lost to her in an exhibition match and in the QF in Gold Coast, having received a walkover in her first match.
"It would be fantastic to have another chance to play Ana in the final if I get there. She has started the season brightly so far and has a chance to reach the number 1 ranking. Our previous matches have been close, she has just had the extra strength in the tigh situations. Now I have beaten Steffi, who Ana lost to last week, I will be more confident of my chances the next time I play Ana. "
Semi-Finals are coming up right now! Final will be later tonight, around about 11:30-12:00 GMT! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

(6) Lindsay Davenport dfts (3) Martina Hingis 6-1 6-7(4) 7-5
Good match. It took Lindsay 7 match points before she actually managed to close it out but Martina was extremely impressive in sets 2 and 3! Lindsay's harder hitting got her there just about in the end but there was a coin toss each and it was generally an extremely close fight! Lindsay is into her first Final and she deserves it having beaten the number 1 and 3 players in the world to get there...she is looking good! _________________ Tennis is in the mind...

Our two top seed are out! What a massive performance from Serena! She really punished Ana's sloppiness in the middle of the first set and then again at the end of the second set. She served brilliantly and took the game to Ana from day one! Ana should go with a bit more commitment to training if she wants to hold on to the number 2 spot or win a title, right now she is being passed by Lindsay!
