yes.....even some of the younger players that play a game that takes a toll on the body should also pick their tournaments wisely(aka clijsters)...

Injuries are a growing concern in both the mens and the womens game. I feel it all falls on the shoulders of the players and coaches to reduce there chances of injuries. Sure they need to choose they tournaments more wisely, but training and physically improving there body is also important. There are some players on the tour that take this for granted. Now I am not saying that Kim Clijsters is one of these players there is also the fluke injury that occurs which happened to her at the AO. But there are these pulled muscles and back strains and injuries of that nature with proper physical strengthing that can be avoided or at least minimized.

Exactly, players and coaches really need to evaluate these things before they make things worse.

I feel that they should cut some of the tournaments. This would be the only way the players could rest if there are no tourney to play. Players are very competitive and they love to play as much as they can leading to there bodies getting affected by injury. If there are no tournaments during a two week period or something like that this will give the tour players chance to rest and maybe heal some of those injuries they have.

yes, considering the season is so long.....its just week after week after week of tournaments...theres only a 6 week offseason, which isnt long enough for players to relax and heal from their injuries from last season...

I think they should have a few two week periods during the season that they don't play. And at least extend the off season to 2 months.

yeah, a lot of the injuries from the 05 season leaked into this season....and yes, i also agree that there should be two week periods between some tournaments.....it would make the players a lot happier....
