I was hoping for Streep too, but I guess it came down to roles. Queen Elizabeth II just outweighs some corporate boss, if you know what I mean. (I haven't seen The Queen yet... I didn't think the Queen was all that good. I didn't stay up late enough to watch it all. I also don't think playing the queen is all that diffcult when you are Helen Mirren.
I was glad that Forest Whittaker got best actor. He did such a great job better than Dicaprio (Departed overrated). Pans Lymbrith took home a good amount of awards. Good night for Spainish filmmaking.
BTW, if you get a chance you have to check out little miss Sunshine. A very good orginal movie. Abgail Breslin did a good job in it. _________________
