Thats interesting, didnt read the entire thing, but it needs to change.
Tennis is by far the best for the stop of it, but they still have problems. (wimbledon)

Oh yes, thanks for the article J-man. Very Happy But besides the prize money for Wimbledon, barely any coverage went to the women's side period. And that's what happens in general for women's sports.

Womens sports are interesting. Things like Womens Basketball, soccer, sports that are 'masculine sports' in many peoples eyes, they don't get much coverage. Other sports like gymnastics, figure skating, ect., get much more coverage than the men in those sports, because the sport is seen as feminine. So, does it all come down to a stereotype that people think women should only do 'girly' sports? Food for thought.

If only I could find a published article that states just that. Sad I need 6 sources, 5 of which need to be published. I have plenty of ideas, but they're "ideas" not printed info.

But honestly(i'm not trying to be sexist or anything), women play a lower quality than the men do(due to the strength and coordiation differences), which is probably why it is broadcasted less.

Is it possible for a women to be sexist against women? Kind of a reverse-feminist. Wink

Womens sports are lesser quality in general. That in itself however, is not enough reason for the wide-spread ignorance of women's sports though. Things like women's basketball come on about 1 O'clock in the morning, like a nobody cares sport. Women are capable of wonderful play, and it should not be ignored like it is being.

Our english teacher was last year. Goodness, we were writing about why the woman in the story was more powerful and she wrote comments saying no, because men were stronger. Shocked Even without that though, she was a terrible teacher. Laughing

The thing about ESPN I don't understand is that women's basketball is very athletic. WHY SHOW SPELLING BEES WHEN YOU CAN SHOW THAT?

I don't know why they don't show the WNBA on tv i once saw this move this one woman did, she was the point guard, where she stole the ball took her legal two steps and faked a pass around the defender's back and made the layup it was incredible. And i was wondering why in the heck they wouldn't let this be shown they, I had never seen this in basketball (NBA, NCAA, And 1, you name it) and yet it is not worthy to be on TV. Sad...

If you make the banner a little smaller, it won't make the page take as long to load. Razz

You're great... Being a good basketball player specially a PG doesn't need to be a dunker... PG is the general in the court and I played also the same position way back in college and I'm a varsity...
