Does anybody understand this problem? I really don't get it.

The force vector FA has a magnitude of 56.9 newtons and points 21.9 degrees above the +x-axis. The force vector FB has a magnitude of 89.2 newtons and points in the +y-direction. Find the magnitude of the net force in both the x- and y-directions.

FC points 55.55 degrees above the x-axis
...let me also find the magnitude...

Anybody on this one?
Rachel pulls on a rope that is attached to a 16-kg box such that the box moves at a constant velocity. The rope is at an angle theta with respect to the horizontal. The frictional force acting on the box is 25 N and the tension in the rope is 40 N.
a. Find theta
b. What is the magnitude of the normal force that the ground exerts on the box?

Oh my gosh, I am in grade 11 physics and our questions aren't nearly that hard, the whole theta thing is what we are just getting into in math. I feel really dumb, all you americans must be geniuses.

Wait, scratch that (looks at president).

I got part a of the question!

Now, just for part b. Rolling Eyes Marvelous. I'll give it a go tomorrow. I remember the theta thing from Trig last year. God remembering the chart of sines, cosines, tans, cotangents, secants, and cosecants was irritating. Didn't think it would be back to haunt me so soon!

Can somebody help find me a published article about why "true" sports such as NHL, tennis, and soccer should be shown on ESPN instead of this poker, fly fishing, eating, and spelling bee crap?

I mean, they would rather show a 1996 spelling bee than Zurich. WTF? I mean, how is it physically enduring? Oh yes, thanks for the article J-man. Very Happy But besides the prize money for Wimbledon, barely any coverage went to the women's side period. And that's what happens in general for women's sports.

Womens sports are interesting. Things like Womens Basketball, soccer, sports that are 'masculine sports' in many peoples eyes, they don't get much coverage. Other sports like gymnastics, figure skating, ect., get much more coverage than the men in those sports, because the sport is seen as feminine. So, does it all come down to a stereotype that people think women should only do 'girly' sports? Food for thought.

If only I could find a published article that states just that. Sad I need 6 sources, 5 of which need to be published. I have plenty of ideas, but they're "ideas" not printed info.

But honestly(i'm not trying to be sexist or anything), women play a lower quality than the men do(due to the strength and coordiation differences), which is probably why it is broadcasted less.
