Will Marcos Baghdatis be able to continue his steak into the top 10 or was his performance in Australia just a fluke?

I guess no one can play that well every tournament (maybe Federer, no).

Marcos is a very good player, but he is not yet to prove he is a top 10 player. He may be able to hang around the top 20 for a long while and do well in some tournaments, but I just don't see him succeeding in the slams like he did in the AO.

Yes, rebound ace is his best surface. I don't think he can get to the finals of any more Grand Slams this year, but he can certainly make the R16 or the quarterfinals.

I really want him to make it into the top 10 but I doubt it will happen. Like you guys said rebound ace is his best, and how many tournaments use this surface? He is definitely good enough to make it far in tournaments though. He is such a celebrity in Crete though. He was man of the year last year, before he made it to the final of the australian open!

He is very charasmatic and that can make for some enjoyable tennis, as Andre Agassi is. I just don't see him breaking into the top 10 with the quality of players on the mens side.

Yes, but he's great for tennis. He attracted tons of non-tennis fans during his run at the AO.

So did his girlfriend Wink Wink Its funny, I was watching it and my dad watched a bit and the first thing he noticed was how they kept showing his girlfriend between every point! I'm pretty sure she is a french model.

That always seems to happen. I remember in ESPN's coverage of the Federer-Safin match at the 2005 AO, when they practically showed Safin's girl friend after every single point.

I really think ESPN coverage is pathletic. They should use the time they look at these girlfriends & talking about the players personal lives talking about the match and the stats of the match.

Good for Marcos. I hope he can get far into this tournament maybe past the round of 16 or QF.

We'll see whether he can continue his success onto the clay courts.

We shall see how Marcos really does when he gets into the more faster surface tournaments which should benefit his style of play. I see he in the top 20 for now.
