Venus lost in the first round of the Australian Open, and Serena is now ranked 39th in the world. Without any "if's" and "but's" how well do you think they will be able to do this year?

im very proud of venus....its nice that she is back and doing pretty well....she still wants to win....unlike her sister....i hope she has a nice run at wimby and perhaps a repeat from last year.... _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

no, i wouldnt really think so with lindsay prepping for her comeback, mauresmo with some time to prep for clay, sharapova also preparing, and many other good claycourters getting ready....but it would be nice if she could have a nice run like last year.... _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

Well I didn't mean it in that way. I meant playing then taking all that time off with "injuries" and stuff. I would miss her grace on the court if she did take time off like early this year and the end of last year _________________

I would still think so. Venus has shown us that she can beat all of these players at grand slam events, and at Wimbledon where she is the most comfortable, and the way she is playing right now on her worst surface, I would say she is already the favorite to win Wimbledon. _________________ -Site Admin
omg, why did i put claycourters for grass season? .....but i think last year, many players weren't ready for her to be playing so well.....i think they may be ready for her this time and will at least put up more of a fight..... _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

Perhaps, but she's one of the most natural on grass for women... _________________ "Satan is behind Illegal Immigration."- Don Larson, Utah County Republican Tennis Wallpapers, presented by leftys_rock and myself
Now, as Venus and Serena have pulled out of Linz, 2006 has been...well, what else can you say but DISASTROUS for them. They have played around a combined 17 tournaments this season. No finals. Their best showing at a GS was a QF loss to Vaidisova by Venus. Any thoughts about them? _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

Just a big disappointment.... _________________ "Satan is behind Illegal Immigration."- Don Larson, Utah County Republican Tennis Wallpapers, presented by leftys_rock and myself
I'm disspointed. But more think about all the promises they made, espically Serena. "I'm coming back", "Ill be ready, I still want to play tennis", blah blah. And what happens?! She starts pulling out of tournments again. Which I thought and lot of people thought would stop happening so often.
Serena was a big let down. Venus on the other hand was a letdown also but not as much as Serena was, IMO _________________
Saw a thread about this. Wanted to ask to see what you guys think. Will there ever be and all-Williams final ever again? _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

with the Williams you can of course never say never, but it is highly, highly unlikely. they seem to never play well, and when they do play well it is never at the same time. _________________

Maybe in a teir IV
There could be one. Both would have to have gotten lucky draw where top players were knocked out. Or be both be on top of their game. Which we know is going to be tough for both of them _________________
