I think PSALT posted the article earlier in the week. But it's unfortunate, I hope most players at the YEC are healthy, if all are there healthy, it will be phenomenal.

What a surprise! Hantuchova beat Kuznetsova 6-4, 6-2 to get to the final! Sharapova beat Srebotnik 7-6, 6-2.

Hantuchova's finally back from hibernation! Always lacking in punch, she was a very good player, but she seems to have regained some of that form this time around.

This is her first Tier I final since 2002. Wow, that was a LONG time ago.

Has anybody noticed that even though the women's dramatics(catty comments, on court coaching, accusations, etc.) number much in quantity, the men's dramatics are so much more sinister and serious?

Yes, I have. Women's dramatics are more like name calling, while the men are actually making personality attacks....

And Sharapova got a warning for coaching in the second set of her match.

Srebotnik should thank the umpire. Sharapova didn't lose one game after the ump warned her. *sarcasm*

Huber/Srebotnik (RSA/SLO) d. (1) Raymond/Stosur (USA/AUS) 63 64. A big surprise there on the womens doubles side.

TTC finally showed Zurich. It was tape delay but still, it was nice. Srebotnik should have won that first set, she had a set point and blew it by being too afraid to be agressive.

I think the crowd took that Peer incident personally, today they would cheer for Srebotnik before the big points.

Does TTC show Linz next week? I wish I had TTC, my parents won't get it for me. Sad Stupid ESPN won't make a single mention of Zurich or Linz.

But there wasn't exactly anything Srebotnik could do on that set point though, didn't Sharapova serve an ace?

Srebotnik has a set point in the first set, Sharapova served an ace for her own set point later in that set in the tiebreak. Srebotnik had one at 6-5 30-40.

But what's this?
"Sharapova faced a set point on serve in the 12th game, but she saved it with an ace, then easily took the tiebreak and cruised in the second set."
http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/news?...htennis&prov=st&type=lgns

I didn't watch the match though, so they may have just gotten the stats wrong.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember the ace. I could still be wrong though.
