Right on two picks already, Petrova won hers though.

the Mauresmo-Vaidisova match was SO bad. Vaidisova was -22, and Mauresmo was -18. that match was really error after error.

That's pretty poor. Shocked I'm surprised Mauresmo had that many. She's usually quite clean when she plays well.

Wow, pretty bad. But i'm not surprised considering Mauresmo blew 3 MPs and Vaidisova lost the first set 6-1. It's surprising Mauresmo has that many, but that's just like what happened in the USO SF.

Mauresmo was 6-1 5-2 up and had 3 match points! That's a huge comeback for Vaidisova.

The SF are quite interesting.

Petrova is in-form again, and Vaidisova is having a good run so that should be a good match. Chakvetadze and Dementieva is interesting aswell. Chakvetadze has not lost since Beijing (to Davenport). She won the title in Guangzhou and is very confident. Dementieva is the favourite, but I wouldn't bet against an upset. Right now I'm thinking a Petrova-Dementieva final.

In Bangkok, Wimbledon Quarter-Finalist Bremond reached her first semi, and plays home favourite Tanasugarn. The other semi is all-American, King v Shaughnessy. Shaughnessy is still the only American to win a singles title this year.

Nicole, please win, I can't stand it if Petrova gets to another Tier I final. If not, I hope Elena gets there to beat her. It would be great for Elena to win KC too, it's her home tourney and her favorite. Very Happy

am I the only person that doesn't like the Kremlin Cup? Atleast in my opinion the facility looks outdated, and it doesn't have a great list of champions. Too many champions here, and people that do well here in general, are Russians that are inspired by the crowd, then never do anything in their career after that.

I like it, but I don't like the way the court looks. It could have been much more exciting though. I was hoping for a Amelie/Sveta vs. Sharapova final. Didn't happen. Mad

The whole facility looks ancient compared to Madrid, Paris, and Stuttgart.

It is Russia after all, that we're talking about. Do you have a picture from the outside? I'm not sure what it exactly looks like.

Since it's the Olympic stadium, i'm not that surprised that it is old, and the inside doesn't look that bad, but if i'm not mistaken, is that the other court just over the seats? If it's there, won't the players be mistaken with out calls from other courts?

Wierd, I was just thinking that the Kremlin cup was one of my favourite tournaments! Laughing I like the court colour, and the facility. Plus I like the lineups of russians.

Yes, it is. Perhaps the courts will be mixed up, but I'm sure that would apply to all other tournamnets (excluding the stadium courts). I still rembers, there was a Play of the Week featuring Federer and Hewitt, and before Federer hit the winning volley, you could hear "Game, Safin" from the other court. So I think that's a problem everywhere....

I think that will always be a problem for indoor tournaments. Does anyone know how indoor tournaments are done? Are all the courts in one big building?
