well, i could get a Yonex RDX 300 for Christmas, does anyone know how it plays? or what racquet i can compare it to?

Well, it falls into the category comparable to the Yonex RDS 001 (the one Hewitt uses). If I'm correct, Yonex racquets have a harder feel (in contrast to the buttery HEAD feel), so it's probably similar to the Wilson nSix-One Tour 90/95, or even the ProStaff Original 90/95.

Link doesn't work, but I know exactly which racquet you're talking about. Which version do you plan on getting (MID or MP)?
