Top seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram have taken another step towards qualifying for Tennis Masters Cup after defeating Andy and Jamie Murray 6-2, 2-6, 10-4 (Match TB) in the Bangkok final.

Good for Blake! He is back in the race where he will stay. We just need to Baghdatis to heel so that he can surpass Nalbandian and take the 8th spot. It will make a fun to watch Masters Cup.

Btw, I was suprised with Daniilidou WTA win today. She survived 3 match points to win in the tie breaker. She must be a tough cookie in finals, because she won her 4th out of 5 WTA finals. On the other hand, Schiavone lost for the 8th straight WTA final!

I used to like Daniilidou when she was in the top 20 a couple of years back and still kind of follow her a bit. I just thought that she was past her prime in singles and was concentrating in a doubles career where whe had some really good results this year.

Another twist to today's matches is that Daniiilidou's doubles partner, Annabel Medina, was in the final in China, where she lost! How often do you have doubles partners playing simultaneously in two different events and both reach their respective finals?

Not often... considering that consistant doubles partners usually play at similar events....

Good news for Daniilidou. But I doubt it will do much for her. She's just good enough to get wins like this consistantly or challenge top players
