Ancic, my other pick, is in the final of Beijing. He has had a very good comeback tournament.

I just realised that you went 0 for 2 in finals today. However, is not bad as you did better than anyone else by picking two finalists!

Baghdatis won easily in in Beijing 6-4 6-0 and will add 34 points and overtake James Blake in the crucial eighth place in the INDESIT ATP Race. He is 1 point behind Nalbandian for 7th place and 5 behind Robrero for 6th.

It will be a tight race between:
6th: Robrero: 374
7th: Nalbandian: 370
8th: Baghdatis: 369
9th: Blake: 365
10th: Ancic: 343

I really hope Robredo, Blake and Ancic will get through. I think they really deserve it and I like watching them. Nalbandian hasen't really impressed me this year. It is a shame he lost that A.Open semi from 2 sets up but another star was born in Baghdatis!

On the ATP side, Melzer and Baghdatis have won their first ever singles titles so that is a big boost for them!

Also, Davenport and Morariu won the doubles title in Bali. It is their 5th title together. Congratulations to them!

The race is getting incredibly close. Personally, I think Nalbandian will drop off soon, because he hasn't been playing well at all since Roland Garros, really. The others are really close though.

Today was bittersweet. While I was happy that Baghdatis made the top-8 I was disappointed he replaced Blake. Personally I like to see both Baghdatis and Blake at the Masters cup.

Btw, I made a mistake on Ancic points this morning. He only has 339 as he got 24 points for the final instead of 28 (I thought it would be 28 )
