The USA has a very small chance for a win. I have a question, do Shaugnessy and Frazier play Fed Cup? If they do we would have a better chance with them playing singles, and then one of them playing doubles with Mariou (sp?) then we would with Washington and Craybas

Davenport is not planning to play, and the Williams cannot be counted on.

Well the USA have 3 top class doubles teams:

Davenport / Morariu
Williams / Williams
Navratilova / Raymond

Shaughnessy is also a top doubles player.

Without Clijsters or Henin-Hardenne I think Russia should get past Belguim even without Sharapova.

Im not sure, Clijsters may be playing. The only advantage Belgium have is that it is in Belgium, but Russia have already dealt with playing away, in last year's final.
