Are the runners of WTAWorld situated in a place like HK or Taiwan? If so, that might be causing the problems (Taiwan Earthquake). Or it might be because of the amount of traffic they get everyday.....

It's the amount of traffic every day. The mods are from all around the world so there is a generally equal amount of moderating at all times.

this is pathetic. I finally found a doubles partner on LTT, Erika_Angel. She had broken up with her old partner (in typical WTAWorld-Soap Opera fashion), and PM'ed me asking me if I wanted to play the rest of the season with her. I agreed. After this however, Highlandman's partner decided to retire. After Erika_Angel found out about this, she dumped me before out first match. We will play the French together, then I will be partnerless again. Crying or Very sad Wink

Nope, Laura sent one to another guy in my tribe who we needed to pull it off, but he backstabbed us and sent it to saar, so yeah thats where it went wrong.

I cant wait to run survivor on here, the personalities will REALLY come out. Twisted Evil

At the French Open in 1991 ( I think), Monica Seles played with someone else and her former partner (who thought her and Seles were exclusive), was furious and made a huge fuss of it during the tournament. They even had to play each other in singles, and she nearly beat Seles!

yes. as far as I know Survivor will be an off-season game. it will be a nice way to give Percy a break from FTL, and still have a day-in-and-day-out game to keep everybody active.

Ummm, okay, one could be everyone in each tribe must post something like I say....

Each tribemember has 50 seashells, and the last tribe to stack 150 of those seashells will lose immunity tonight.
Each tribemember can only stack a seashell after another has stacked one (so basically you can't just repeatedly do it on your own, it takes teamwork).
To stack one, you'd say...

Manga Tribe (stole this tribe name from WTAWorld survivor Wink )
Stack #131 (how many the tribe has stacked so far)
39 (how many shells that tribemember has stacked on their own)

Of course other challenges will be completely different, with different teamwork and intelligence components to them. Stuff like trivia, solving puzzles, like real survivor kind of thing.

The real fun is making alliances and backstabbing though Razz
it will all be much more organized when it begins.

This is why I don't think wtaworld is an actual tennis forum. Nobody actually talks about tennis. It's all about fan groups for each player fighting each other and the tennis is just in the background. Inside the player forums it can be good because we actually talk about the player's tennis and stuff, but in GM it is an absolute nightmare. wtaworld has good games and some good player discussion, but it is not a tennis forum and I'm surprised it has stayed open this long.

This is why I don't think wtaworld is an actual tennis forum. Nobody actually talks about tennis. It's all about fan groups for each player fighting each other and the tennis is just in the background. Inside the player forums it can be good because we actually talk about the player's tennis and stuff, but in GM it is an absolute nightmare. wtaworld has good games and some good player discussion, but it is not a tennis forum and I'm surprised it has stayed open this long.


That's one of the major problems with any forum which has divisions as such (exception is Patrick's old forum. Everyone was generally cordial in all sections there). The moderators have to restrain profane outbursts like that....

The mods are VERY busy already though, they probably have to deal with advertising, trolls, and lots of requests from posters.

WTAWorld has lots of lunatics ... I find this post offensive and that's why I kind of stay away from it... anyhow, it shows the class of those Croats... no wonder their countrymen got into fights yesterday and got kicked out of the AO grounds... they were going to crash Jankovic match.

in other news, the draw of the first grass event over at Patty's is out. Leftys got a horribly easy opener against winless Raymond. She will play Austin after that. Bench got Myskina then Davenport. NEA and Stevos play each other in the first round. Twisted Evil I however got the worst draw of all. With 100 friggin points I have to beat Marion Bartoli (my eating partner Crying or Very sad ) then Hantuchova. You have got to be kidding me. I have used 100 points once for God's sake! In a doubles event on WPTA where everybody had the same amount! Mad


Someone else should join. Doublea or somebody. It's not hard to win matches (unless you play WGTA).

I was thinking of WGTA, they use 100 points. Somehow Seles in that game has won Wimby twice with 100 points against people with 30 more. He is good.

I don't follow that many posters. It's not like here, I don't know where everybody posts and what about. I'm sure there are a lot more great posters that I haven't seen post that much. Those are only people that came to the top of my head.

woo! I'm in my first ever Slam RD16! It's at the French in LTT. Granted, not in singles, but still, mixed and doubles in good. Very Happy

In mixed I took out the third ranked team in Groenefeld/Haas. I play another unseeded team in Palkina/Lu now. In doubles we beat Serena/Foretz, now we play the sixth seeds Groenefeld/Schynder (Greg). I'm worried. Confused

Stevos is out in singles and mixed, but is into the RD16 in doubles.

I play with the tips I got from Greg and Blake (Cat's PJ's). I won't tell you how I play exactly though. Razz

Greg chooses 5 of the first 6 games. The game not chosen (it can be located anywhere) he puts a low number in. In one of the 5 games he buts a 20+ number to beat players that do 23-22-23, ect., ect. The other games you can play around with. When I use this strategy by itself, I usually put 17-20 in the other 4 games. Then you just fill in the other games, avoiding ever putting 0's in a game.

Blake is more aggressive. He drops more games than Greg so he can be more aggressive in others. I find this one a little harder to pull off. FYI, pushing (10-10-10-10-10-, ect) is effective against him.

Right in the middle really. I dont put any "15" games in there because they are pointless.
