Congratulations to the ATP for completely destroying the blogs. It was a great idea so the players could write about their life on the tour. Tursunov ruined that and decided to just write complete crap. I will not be reading the blogs anymore, I am glad the WTA have started them full time now so those will be better. Tursunov says he started all this blog stuff, but Blake, Ljubicic and many others had far better blogs before.

I don't get it...when they say monthly blog, do they mean like a few times a month, or like, from now on? I thought that they (the ATP) would copntinue the blogging of other players....

Well I guess it's good news. I like the fact that Tursunov is writing the blogs with that spice that he brings. But I hope he writes some more serious blogs about his playing and life on the tour with his usual goofing off

His style of blogging is more of trying to make people laugh rather than informing them about the life of a tennis player. If he can combine both, he can do much better.

What 'spice' does he bring? He just makes his blogs too stupid. There is nothing interesting there. I don't want to know about his goofing off every day or how he thinks he started the craze of blogs or how fast the driver was driving him to the courts. He says hardly anything about a tennis player's life, he makes it seem like one big game which it is not.
Tursunov was a bad choice for a resident blogger. He isn't exactly a player that will be making it to the weekends of every tournament he plays

I think people like his blogs because it's basically comedy on paper. Unfortunately, we have to ask, "Is comedy relevant to tennis?" In this case, I think the answer is no. Obviously, the ATP is just interested in the promotion of the organization, which is correct, but I think they shouldn't do it this way.

If it is supposed to be comedy, then it is very bad. It's just stupid, it has not even got me close to even thinking about laughing. It makes me feel slightly embarrased for tennis. Of course a blog with a few jokes that make sense is great, but Tursunov takes it way too far. There should be comedy in the blogs as it gets people reading them. The blogs are a great idea, but Tursunov has sort of ruined it.

Tursonov has "potential", when I read blogs I want to laugh some but I also want to read about life on tour. Tursonov's blogs seem very forced, like he sits there for 20 minutes trying to come up with something funny, if his blogs could seem a little more "real" and not so much like stand up comedy I would like it. I also wish he would get rid of the "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" after each sentence, "So I woke up this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". It's like I'm reading the blog of a sugar-high 10 y/o. So if he could tone it down I would like it.

I know what you meant by spice. I just don't think the comedy is very good at all. It is pointless. When I finish reading a blog of his I just thought what a waste of time it was. I don't know how a load of exclamation marks with some stupid stories that he probably made up appeals to people. I wish they had chosen someone a bit more mature that could tell funny jokes and still concentrate on the job.

Unfortunately though, I think his form of comedy has brought some extra attention to the ATP, so it sort of works. Just it's not very mature, as you said....

Has anyone read Tursunov's e-mail replies? Absolutely disgusting how the ATP is using this as a marketing scheme:
http://www.atptennis.com/1/en/blog/tursunov/mailbag1.asp
His answers are so irrelevent, and the 'Top' question's answer is just disgusting:
AND THE TOP QUESTION IS:
10. Tara Rokey, Manhattan, Kansas, USA
Message: Boxers or briefs? PS. LOVE the blog!
Commando!
Because of this type of behavior, I wish the ATP takes him off, alhtough they won't.
