Yes, the game looks excellent. The Federer/Hewitt clip was done when the game was only 60% complete...it was still quite impressive.

There is an Agassi Generation game for Gameboy Advanced (SP) and Colour. There is also Virtua Tennis for PSP.

For Playstation 2, there is two tennis games: Smash Court Pro Tournament and Smash Court Pro Tournament 2, both created by Namco.

And, of course, you get the ever popular and overrated game, Super Mario Tennis, for Game Cube.

I forgot that one (partially because I have never played with it). I just looked at the screenshots for Sega Sports Tennis and it looks very similar to Virtua Tennis for PSP. It must be good.

If I remember correctly, there was also one named WTA Tennis or something.

It's basically the same thing as Topspin 1 for XBOX except they substituted a few players (Ex. Federer (with Sampras strokes and styles) for Sampras).

there are also a few tennis games on cell phone....except there are usually just people....but there are good ones like wimbledon 2005....but the other ones are like venus williams tennis and maria sharapova tennis....i didnt get those....i got wimbledon 2005.....

Topspin 2 will ship in April for XBOX 360, of course, but also for Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance.

But I'm sure Topspin 2 will be way better on XBOX 360 than on the Game Boys, simply because XBOX has higher game capabilities.

yeah....the thing is, i dont know if i should stick with my gameboy and play topspin 2 or to go to the store, buy the xbox, set it up, buy the game, and then play topspin 2.....i wish i had a xbox already so i dont have to decide on which one to get....

The XBOX one will be way better. It's also better to play because your eyes don't stain after a while of playing.

I do too. I guess I have to stick with the original Topspin for now. It gets a bit boring when you win every match 60 60, though.

Mobile phone games aren't usually that great. I know for a fact that the Sony Ericsson one is pretty bad.

wimbledon 2005 was ok....its just hard to play with only up down left right and enter keys.....

It looks really good. I saw the newest trailer and it was just amazing. It was so accurate to what actually happens, although Federer acted a bit like Hewitt in the trailer. Very Happy

The Federer and Roddick entrance into Rod Laver Arena was pretty similar to what actually happens though. The graphics are basically perfect.

In the original, you press a button after the point. If you press the button after a victorious point, it shows the player making fun of the opponent, intimidating the opponent, gesturing to the crowd, making a 'Nadal'-jump, or an arm-raised victory gesture. If you press the button after you lose a point, it shows the player spiking a racquet, shaking a head, slapping himself, or saying 'good shot' and complimenting the opponent.

If you don't press any button, it just shows one of the two players walking.

I hope they do something like choosing character types. So, for example, you can choose a passive character, and he/she won't do stuff that escentric.

You could in the original too. You can create a player and train him in the career mode. However, the original Topspin didn't have a calender, so you could play tournaments whenever you chose too. In the new game, there will be calenders, so you would have to work by week. You either train one week or you play tournaments one week.

In the original game, you have 14 'stars' to distribute within four skills- Serve, Forehand, Backhand, and Volleys. However, you have to pay a 'coach' and pass a challenge before you can get a star. As you you get more stars, you can choose different strenghts, such as Curved Serve, Return of Serve, 'Precision', Volley, Smash, Ace, etc.. You can play tournaments to help out your financial status as well as get a sponsor.

Yes....the original Topspin does not have Nike as a sponser....it only has Adidas, Reebok, Oakley, K-Swiss, Yonex, and Wilson.

It's just that if they missed Nike in the first version, there will be no surprise if they miss Lacoste.

acully in the first version some players are wearing lacoste. but you can't sponsored by lacoste

Yes....same with Nike. For example, Sampras and Hewitt both wore Nike, but you couldn't wear any Nike clothes.

I think Topspin 2 will probably be the only tennis game to be released on XBOX 360, because there is simply no point of creating another tennis game that will be nothing but laughing matter when compared to Topspin 2.
