Someone Impersonating Chelsey Gullickson

Percy, It has come to my attention that someone has been posting on this site under the name Chelsey and has been acting as they are Junior Tennis player Chelsey Gullickson. I ask you as part of the management group for Chelsey to please remove this false information from your site as soon as possible. We are currently investigating this matter further. Thank you for your assistance.

hmmm.... why would anyone go through all that trouble? who ever this person is they seem to have gone through an awful lot of trouble, to make stories and such. to be honest I don't know who to believe. furthermore, no offense to Chelsey, but she is not exactly well known. why would someone want to impersonate the 37th ranked junior? if your gonna impersonate someone wouldn't it be someone people know. then again what reason would you (Guest) have to lie that Chelsey is an imposter?

Wow, that it kinda weird. Just like Psalt said It is hard to believe that someone would go through all that trouble to impersonate a junior player, but then again if someone came on here and said they were Maria Sharapova would we believe them.

This is very serious. If this is true then this person's computer should be banned from the forum. Right now I don't know what to think about this.

I just checked to Chelsey profile and she has no info listed. I am not sure if she ever had info listed in the past, but I think I remember seeing an avatar which is removed as well. Confused

This is weird...lets here what "Chelsey" has to say on this matter...does this not remind everybody of someone else??!! (K-K).

Anyway, I cannot say I paid much attention to her posts they were pretty dull...but you other guys who SOMEHOW found interest in that ELEVEN page topic..."This is Chelsey. How is everyone" (how it made 11 pages I shall never understand)...must be able to make an informed judgement on her. I just read over the first three pages, before I was bored half to sleep, and her comments are extremely general. She seems to hesitate a little "I don't really know her" and when asked questions seems to generalise and just throw a load of facts at you guys that anybody could have access to.

Saying this though, I am very hesitant to believe that someone has come on here and made it up...all though not alltogether suprised, some people are sad enough to do so...what you could possibly get out of it I don't know!!

If she doesn't respond then this "Guest" is telling the truth...but I am not sure to believe this guest either, like PSALT, he comes on here and calls admin by his name "percy" and how has he found this out?

yes Kay-Kay is exactly who I though of when I say this! dave and I think a member is behind this, first of all, like you said "Percy?". only members of this site and CP call him Percy. Second, Dave pointed out in a PM to me, only members can see members announcements. so this guest would have to be a member to see a lot of chelsey's posts.

Another thing, is that to view the 'Member Announcements' section, you have to already be a member.

Anyway, I found it quite interesting that we had a member playing in the French Open, or that is what I thought.

Aaaaa! That is a great point...that PROVES it is a member, I didn't even realise that. It has to be a member...or it has to be "Chelsey" herself OR the person impersonating Chelsey is already a member!!

Yes, dav, it was interesting for a page/2 page topic...the 11 pages was filled with s*** and earlier today I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted to lock that topic it is annoying the living crap out of me.

Hello, I am sorry for the confusion of this but my stupid sister got on here and thought it would be funny to screw with you guys . I didn't think it to be funny in the least. She was in a giddy mood I guess because she got the Qualies draw and who she will play in her first match. It is a Ukraine named Oxana Lyubtsova or something like that for a last name. Once again sorry for the confusion. Embarassed

Well since I am not getting any response to my posts I guess I(my sister) have caused to big of a stir for the site to handle. I have really enjoyed it here chatting about the game and playing fantasy tennis tennis, but I guess it is time for me to leave the fantasy world and concentrate on my real game more. Sorry for the confusion. Embarassed This will be my last post.

I think he means how long it takes a day to participate in it. All you really have to do is training, and other small commitments like interviews.

Well we never saw the obituries from their local newspaper. So we can only believe that she did in fact die

Well didnt xdoublea post the newpaper website, and I remember seeing that a kristen girl had died of an anurism, which is what her "boyfriend" had said on the forum.

Alright guys when I come home from school I am going to do some indepth investigating to solve this Chelsey Gullickson mystery. I think I got it figured out though.

Kinda suspicious that chelsey would just leave after someone incriminated her. Not very innocent.

First of all the fact that "Chelsey" generalized everything makes this impersonation definately a possibility. Someone could have easily impersonated her and I will show you how.

Hi, My name is Chelsey and I now live and train in Palm Beach Garden, Florida mostly with my mom Sandy as my coach and also ITF coaches to. I started playing tennis at the ripe old age of 6 years old with my mom. I am 15 now. My favorite surface is hard and my favorite tour player is my big sister Carly who is ranked #275 on the WTA right now or at least the last time I checked that is where she was. I am now ranked #37 ranked Junior ranked by ITF. I of course love playing tennis, but also make time to just hang with my friends and also love playing and watching basketball. My biggest highlite of my career happened last year February 2005 at the 18's USTA National Open Championships in Tampa, Fla. in which I won the title over Melissa Saiontz 6-3, 6-4. I look forward to getting involved and posting as much as I can. I carry my lap top around to tournies so I have it with me all over the place. Love to talk tennis.

That picture was her avatar and could easily be snagged by a impersonator.

On that page it also said that she started at 6 with her mom, just like in "her" paragraph. It also states that she likes hanging out with friends and playing basketball just like in her paragraph. Favorite surface hard, you guessed it, in her paragraph. But notice that there is no other information on the website, just like there is no other information in her paragraph. Suspicious? I think so. Not to mention that she just decided to leave the forum now that someone brought this to our attention. I have always been suspicious, but never thought anything of it.

This pages mentions her father who "she" has mentioned before, her favorite surface, tournaments, hanging out with friends and playing basketball, favorite tennis player is her sister, and dream is to play with her sister on Arthur Ashe, all of these "she" has mentioned and nothing more.

Im not saying someone did impersonate her, but it could have been very easily done.

Yes very good finds. Also look at the fact that not many Pro/Junior ITF players are on fourms. Most of these player limit their online to email and not fourms like this one or others like it. Their to busy playing and training and are tired
