Sharapova Cup! / Brazillian-Agassi2000's eventsWow, what a juicy first rounder between me and Xdoublea! Our games match up great but we have only played once or twice in the past. It is interesting seeing as we both will be attending the Canadian Event at the end of the year too, so it is exciting to see who will come out on top. For some reason I see Doublea beating me (wierd eh? since Im playing out of my mind right now).
Then there's leftys-dav. Kind of like their wimbledon or USO matchup (cant remember which one it was). That should be good. J-man has a tough opener against Johnny, and NEA will probably play the winner, if he can get by Aztec which I think he can.
Oooo, PSALT vs Valkyrie, very possible upset there. I'm sure PSALT is biting his nails down to the bone right now.
Very interesting tournament, and very crucial one.
Then in the other Brazillian tournament, Agassi should win. Unless Yodavitch causes him some trouble which is definitely possible.

I can't say I am biting my nails over this match. I am tentative, yes. Not hugely worried though. I have a better game for carpet, and we are both playing our first carpet matches since last season os she won't have the upper hand there. I could very well be upset, but I am tentatively confident that I will come out of that round alive.
This event is PACKED! J-man isn't even seeded!
I also see JoJo hasn't retired yet.

I am the top seed in my tourny, but Yodavitch will pose a real threat for the final, which he surely should get to.

Bizet and Child are the only missing top 10 players, two big losses but still a very good draw.
Yodavitch should give you problems, I think it is a 50-50 final, you two will get there easily.

Yes, it's you, Dave, and Leftys. It's like pulling teeth to get an angry answer. I could say you suck right to your guy's face and I would get "Oh, thank you for your opinion, it's very helpful". There is a reason why the big mouthes get all the interviews! A la Serena, Child, Stevos, NEA.

Dave isn't a great carpeter, and has been below his best anyway. Then Phobe, who is beatable, then either Jenna or Doublea. Those are all winnable matches.

Ummm, hell to the nah. Dubois is on her way up for sure. Same with Sharon Fichman who was great in Juniors and is in the quarters of the Houston Challengers.
But Frank Dancevic and Peter Polansky are great players. Frank has been doing great this season, and Polansky made a slam junior final. He is a great serve-and-volleyer too, which sets him apart and could go really far.

Try walking to school in -30 degrees Celcius, not sure what that is in Fahrenheit but its freakin low! We normally get snow days on those because the deisel in the busses freezes! We also get hot days.
Our tennis is Fall for seniors and spring for juniors. Our tournament this year was sooo cold, everyone was wearing mitts and toques. And i lost

The KC Metro news doesn't cover any town around here, I believe the closest town that is named is like 45 minutes away. USA is the only superpower in the world, yet the only Country capable of commiting so many atrocities.

Canada is an absolute nobody
USA is the only superpower in the world, yet the only Country capable of commiting so many atrocities.
Which is better?
I cannot say I particularly dislike or like either Country, although, if forced to decide USA would definitely get my vote! |
Indeed, I love America, but I would love just staying in other countries for a while to see what it would be like(preferably without the long plane ride, but that's going to have to be there).
I would love to go to England someday, I love English food. Unfortunately, our school has never planned a trip there. I might go to London to watch Wimbledon after I graduate(which is in 4 years ). How is it there?

lol, I don't think he will do very well. Doublea is a tall order for anybody on any surface, let alone on a surface that is meant for his strenghts.

Yeah I cant wait until these are calculated and I get to see another stevos loss.

Yodavitch continues his good form ousting Agassi 7-6, 6-4!

Well! I made the Final and lost in three sets to Jennacourt, pleased with my overall performance, beating Edelstein and Tricatrina back to back, but I really thought I had jennacourts number, I always beat her! Never mind. The race for the top 8 is definitely on now and it is going to be one hell of a scrap! I should be in the top 8 once the rankings get updated and then I have two Tier III Finals to defend; Phobe has some consistent placings to defend while PSALT might really struggle with his Tier I Final and dave has a Tier III title to defend. Things are really heating up, if I can keep reaching SF or better in my coming tournaments I should be safe. But ANYONE out of the four of us can drop out of the top 8 at anytime! This is absolutely massive excitement now thanks to my good runs at these two tournaments! Let the games begin...

NEA lost in the final to Jenna. Luckily I don't lose any point for my first round loss! Hopefully I can do something in Argentina.

D*mn Jennacourt! At least I am gaining points. I haven't done that in a VERY long time. I think my suffering a head cold today was the reason why I lost 6-2, 6-2. Good job to NEA for beating Johnny and Trinky back to back!

But honestly, I didn't go to school today because my head cold got really bad. Need to go check my schedule to see if i'm playing anything tomorrow.

edit: The Bulgaria one actually isn't tomorrow, it's the following day.

Oh, it's fine, it should be over in a couple days. I think the added stress of school, stress of tennis, plus the flu shot I had last week culminated to make me sick. But thanks for the support!

Yes, stress can really make you vulnerable to bacteria/viruses. Like, whenever it's exam month, I always (like, every time) suffer through major cough, cold, etc.

Hence the necessity of a "Non-Tennis" forum! |
Democracy. Looks like your campaigning got you somewhere leftys. It wasn't, of course, the fact that everyone was getting sick of jbors nonsense |
It was quite fun talking, it's unfortunate you and Dave live in such different time zones, you could have joined us! |
You are all a trip! I am in the same time zone as many of you but I opted for Baseball last night. I was so glad to see the Cardinals win! Anyhow, I felt like NEA; What in the world were you all having last night? It was funny to read some of the posts though.
By the way, PSALT, my school has more students than your town and it is only one of a couple of dozen High Schools. I cannot imagine living in a town that small.
and J-man, I thought you were in NYC but you are not far from me. I have lots of family in the Northern VA suburbs of DC.

...and yes, we do get snow days every couple of years. If we get a half an inch of snow everything comes to a stand still. Of course we have more hurricane days....

I lost interest in baseball after the A's were swept away. And actually, PSALT, you DO have less people than the people in my high school! And my school is the most expensive private school for K-12 in California! That is very odd.

very happy to see my Cardinals win! since the Royals suck they are most of Kansas City's adopted team.

I always liked the Cardinals, since they are Virginia's state bird.
I had a double reason to want them to win yesterday because I just wanted the Mets to loose. Our local AAA team (Norfolk Tides) has been a Mets farm team for ever until a few months ago, when the Mets walked away and we are now an Orioles AAA team. But most of all David Wright (Mets rookie 3rd base and NL All star) is from here and played for a hated High School
