Serena Looks Horrible

Even so, I still think she can wipe the floor with her opponents for at least 2 rounds.

Mad come on. when is she ever going to get into shape?!?! she is so much more talented than Venus, but at least Venus has never let herself gain weight like that.

she's more than a bit fat Laughing
she's had two years to get in good shape but still she looks like that. She was looking good at the Open.

I think that just has to do with Venus' body type. For instance, I gain weight SUPER easily, so I have to really watch what I eat. And then my friend can eat as much as she wants to and she is still as thin as a rail.

I forgot to say that that probably has to do with Serena's body type too. Razz I think if I didn't work out every day, I would look INCREDIBLY fat. Embarassed

I am disappointed. She recently said it is only a matter of time before she gets back to number 1 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/6236551.stm), but she is never going to get back to the top again unless she looses weight and gets fit again. Yes she is talented and can win some matches in her shape, but she will never be at her best unless she looses weight! I am so disappointed in her right now because this means she will have to take even more time out just to get fit. I wanted her to win Hobart, but she wouldn't deserve to because it is clear she hasen't been working. Molik is now the player I want to win. She has had problems, but she is still working hard. Seriously Serena cannot expect to be at the top in her shape!

At the USO, I noticed that she had gained weight in her behind... now she looks incredibly fat all over Embarassed This is so bad.

I still believe that if she dedicates herself, she can come back and win a tournament or two. However, unfortunately, she does not seem interested.

I used to like Serena more than Venus, but I can say now that Venus has never stood do low. Venus has proven to be the better one in the long run.

paco, I don't think the pic you recently posted looks much better. She is sitting down there and it is further away from her. If those first pics were taken a few days ago, she couldn't have got that much better. I hope she has a tough 3 weeks in Australia and comes back in shape.

She doesnt look THAT bad here, still not good though. I think the first few may have been bad angles/camera/lighting.

This was taken during the Williams McDonalds tour I think so she may have got worse over Christmas Confused

Her rear was enormous back then... the signs that she was gaining weight were all there. Of course it is much worse now... Sad

It wasen't always that big J-man. Remember Serena was the physically strongest and fittest player on tour until around 2005 when she gained weight. She is still verystrong physically and some more work in the gym would have her again be the fittest player on tour. I still put the disruption in both Williams sister's career down to the murder of Yetunde. They have never been the same since then but they are still getting better.

She won her first match 6-4, 6-0 by the way. Hiccup at 5-0 in the first, but still came out in straights.

I can't remember her losing four straight games like that though... she didn't have these lapses back then....

Well it was her first match in four months and she only played four tournamnets last year. So it was impressive to me, plus she won 7 straight games to close out the match. And won five straight at the begining.

This is really annoying me. I firmly believed that after the U.S. Open she would come back in even better shape, ready to prove herself in Australia. She showed signs of a comeback then, but now showing up looking like this is just appauling. I am sick of this and want to see both of them back for more than two tournaments in a row before taking 6 months off Mad Rolling Eyes .
