[Season 4](Day 8) Tricatrina to skip Williams Series
World number 3 Tricatrina has confirmed she will miss both of the upcoming Williams Series Tournaments in an effort to prepare for the claycourt season, which comes right after them.
Tricatrina has been the runner-up at the WS-Venus for the last two years, and could drop in the rankings now that she is not defending her points. Despite being ranked at number 3, she has done very little since reaching the US Open final last year. She currently holds just 1 title on the tour, the Nadal Clay Championships. This year, she has only played 3 events, the last 2 have resulted in straight set losses to J-man. However, she is known as 'The Queen of Clay' and has always done well during the claycourt season.
The Williams Series are some of the biggest events on tour. The first one, WS-Venus in Los Angeles, starts tommorow. Vanessa Child is the top seed followed by defending champion Jennacourt. Other names in the draw include PSALT, dav6789, J-man, Phobe and John Edelstein. Australian Open champion Yodavitch plays 4th seed Bizet. Yodavitch will look to improve on his 13-0 record for this year.
