USTA: Wow, jbors, congratulations on your fantastic run at the first of the Williams Series events! You dazzeled us with wins over J-Man, Yodavitch, and Jennacourt, and with your fantastic final with Vanessa Child. You have reached a career-high number 13, leepfrogging over rival stevos14 and the struggling x.doublea. How does it feel to be nearing this close to the Top 10?
jbors47: It feels great to win big matches and have it pay off in the rankings. I mean, I made it to the finals of a Tier I, and I already jumped ahead of stevos who I think has 3 smaller titles this year. I just hope to crack the top 10 soon.
USTA: What are you aiming for to accomplish at the end of the year? A Grand Slam title? Top 5 ranking? What are your short-term ambitions?
jbors47: My main focus for the year is to move high up into the rankings. If I can really pull it together all season I think top 5 is reasonable.
