[Season 4] (Day 32) PSALT's Preview: Pierce Grand Prix
The stupidity of the tour is quite possibly best exemplified here. Scheduling an event in France the week before the USO is an act only those with one-digit IQ’s would think of. The draw here is pathetically week, 2-3 players will dominate it. V.Child is the No.1 seed; she is followed by two other top 5 players Trinky (No.4) and PSALT (No.5). Bizet will look to take this title in front of his home country; I doubt the French are holding their breath however. The only person who even had a sizeable chance is Mollusk. For matches to watch, I was unfortunately unable to find a first round match that one could stay awake through, I will instead do two (which is pushing it) quarterfinal matches.
Matches to Watch
Bizet-Mollusk
Bizet draws both pity and laughs. It’s unthinkable that someone with his big serve, great volleys, and solid strokes could suck so hard so often. Mollusk will be a tough match for the out-of-form Frenchman to get through. He will have the crowd support however (Mollusk doesn’t have that anywhere sadly, his country is ‘unknown’. I bet he comes from Canada, all the weird ones come from there.). Whether that will be enough to stop another choke remains to be seen.
PSALT-Ying-Chang
Ying-Chang looked to be in good form in Pennsylvania a week events ago. That was until she got to the final and had a panic attack (It was funny in a weird way to see her breathing into a paper bag during changeovers). PSALT had a routine loss to JoJo in Belgium last week and will be looking for form at the Slam that he reached his first ever quarter in.
Ying-Chang was kind enough to sit down with me, in her first interview with my since the ‘incident’. The conversation was taped for my protection.
Q. What happened in your final against Benchwarmer? Why did you call the trainer for 'emotional assistance'?
Ying-Chang:
I've been really upset.
Q. NEA said that losing to you would be, I quote, 'the most embarrassing thing on your'. What do you think?
Ying-Chang:
That's so rude! I mean fine, I'm emotional; so what if I am! At least I'm not a pusher!
Q. You are constantly insulted for your......... 'incidents’........ Why do people do this? Do you feel people are out to get you?
Ying-Chang:
Sometimes people can be just so rude. This year I feel like everyone is out to get me; players, interviewers, and even my boyfriend, framing me for drug use. I'm really sick of those people, those doubters. I will get back to the elite of tennis where I belong in time, I've just had so many disasters and unfairytales lately!
