AOTD: Hey x.doublea, well done on reaching the Semi-Finals here in Melbourne. Firstly, I would just like to get your thoughts on some comments that were made about me recently by a player that will go un-named. That player suggested perhaps something unorthodox was going on by way of the draws at this tournament. Are you happy with both the draws and the tournament as a whole?

x.doublea: Well, that player can believe that, but, I was there when the draw was made, and everything was done in proper procedure. Perhaps that player was just upset that he or she was given a tough draw, but I was fine with it. Like, having to go through Bizet is not an easy task. I don't think the younger members of the tour were given any sort of advantage. Like, whoever questioned this tournament must be unfamiliar with the tournament, because I think this tournament is so well run. Everything's ready, everyone's friendly, and in addition, there is a real Australian cultural flair to this tournament that I don't see in many other places. This tournament is so unique, and I'm proud to say that the Australian Open is one of my favourite places to play.

AOTD: Thanks, thanks. That means a lot. Anyway, more about you. PSALT, your Semi-Final opponent, had some really kind words about your game. He also mentioned you as one of his friends recently on Oprah, are these feelings reciprocated and do you have any enemies on tour?

x.doublea: PSALT is one of my best friends on tour. He knows, and I know, that making friends on tour is one of the toughest things to do, because it's just so hectic. However, we seem to haven common interests such as classical music, so we always get into friendly discussions during our rest periods. Plus, he has such a good personality, and he's someone I look up to.

In response to the second part of your question, no, I don't think I have any enemies on tour. Like, I think it's important to treat others the way I want them to treat me, so I try to be nice to everyone. It doesn't hurt to be nice.

AOTD: I know your legion of fans back home in Canada were cheering you on all the way and we noticed you had quite a support group down here in Melbourne. How much of a part did they play in this outstanding achievement of yours?

x.doublea: Oh, they were just fantastic! They helped me get through some really tight situations, such as tiebreaks, and helped me mentally rebound after I got broken or other things along that line. I am thankful people appreciate my play, and I look forwards to interacting with them and fans back home in the future.
