[Season 3](Day 2) PSALT- The Oprah Winfrey Show- LIVE
Oprah: So, our first guest tonight, is recent Australian Open finalist, and the shining star of the future of American sports, PSALT.
First off, PSALT, congratulations.
PSALT: Thank you.
Oprah: Well, how do you feel right now?
PSALT: I feel tired but not bad, not bad.
Oprah: So, correct me if I'm wrong, but that makes two straight Australian Open finals. You came so close in the final this year, but I guess Edelstein played a great match as well. I'm sure it'll be third time lucky next time.
PSALT: You are correct, this is my second straight final, once again against John. It was a great match that I, sadly, came out the loser of. It's time to put that behind me though.
Oprah: Enough about tennis, let's get to you. What do you do besides hitting those crosscourt backhand winners, PSALT?
PSALT: Besides sleeping? After school and practice I love animals, and shopping, can't forget shopping. I hang out with friends when I am not at tournaments, when I'm at tournaments though that is my focus and I don't really do anything else.
Oprah: Oh, you still go to school?
PSALT: I take classes online.
Oprah: That's good. Educations extremely important, even for such a talented tennis player like you. And, about friends, do you have any close relationships on tour?
PSALT: I wouldn't say close but I have friends on our. I would probably say Dave or maybe Doublea are the people I am closer to on tour. It's hard to make friends in tour, you then have to play them and it's hard to have a killer instinct when you are playing friends. There are also people on tour that are lone wolves so to speak, namely John Edelstein. He isn't rude but he really doesn't speak to anyone. So really making friends on tour is quite hard, and I usually shy away from anything more than small talk.
Oprah: It must get lonely then. Do you travel with family?
PSALT: Yes, I travel with my mother. I also bring my coach and fitness trainer.
