The New Zealand Herald: Congratulations on your magnificent Tier II tournament victory x.doublea. Can you even begin to sum-up what this win means to you?

x.doublea: Well, I'm really happy to have won this tournament. I think this win really acts as a breakthrough for me. Like, unlike N_E_A, PSALT, and J-Man, among the other players who entered the tour at the same time I did, I never had a breakthrough run at a Grand Slam or a Teir I tournament. This win really gives me more confidence to play my game, and I think theis victory is a result of my hard work over the off season.

The New Zealand Herald: You dominated a truly world-class field and fought through the cream of the crop in the process, this has led to speculation in some quarters that you are now one of the dark horses for the Australian Open. Do you believe you have the ability to take a Grand Slam trophy home to Canada in the near future?

x.doublea: Well, obviously, I would love for that to happen, but will it happen? It can, but I admit the chances are a slim, especially when the likes of PSALT, N_E_A, Dave, and J-Man, who have already proven themselves at a higher level, are favoured over me, not to mention some of the players I happened to beat this past tournament. But, I think I have proven that I can play at a top level, and that the only problem is playing like that from a match-to-match basis.
