LTA: N_E_A, on behalf of the LTA, we would really like to tell you how happy all of Britain was when it was announced that you would be playing in the Federer Masters Cup. Are you feeling any pressure yet, being Britain's representative, or are you feeling that you will have nothing to lose?
N_E_A: Oh, definitely nothing to lose. Nothing what so ever. Many pundits have already "predicted" my record being that of 0-3, which is fine. It just goes to show that expectations are low so I am free to play my tennis.
LTA: You are now basically 800 points clear of dav6789, our other British phenomenom. Do you think you two will have a great rivalry, or do you think it will be overshadowed by your fiery relationship with PSALT?
N_E_A: I don't know, I don't know. Dav is too quiet, too nice to have a great rivalry with; which is all the credit to him. PSALT, on the other hand, likes to shout his mouth off a little more; I mean an example is what he said about Vanessa Child, I think that was pretty uneccesary...I am really pleased for Vanessa; showing PSALT tennis speaks louder than words in the Mauresmo Masters Final, she is a great player and people shouldn't be so harsh to judge.
I think sometimes people want a rivalry so much on tour they fabricate one; like the YEC race...was there ever really a race? Certainly PSALT and dav were never involved in it, ever since wimbledon they have been a long way behind me in terms of ranking points; I think they just wanted it a lot, I am sad for them not reaching it but I am sure that next year they could quite easily be number 1 and 2 in the world.
