USTA: Congratulations PSALT on getting the quarterfinals of Wimbledon! You had an outstanding run, defeating World Number 1 John Edelstein 6-7 7-6 6-4 in a thrilling R16 encounter. How did you feel about your run?
PSALT: I am extremely excited about my run. My win over John is, in my opinion, my greatest accomplishment. It was in a Grand Slam and on grass. Vanessa and Yodavitch are the only people to ever beat him in a Slam before this, I am excited to join the ranks of those two amazing players. I am also excited that I took a set off of Vanessa. Overall it was a great run.
USTA: You seem to be in the middle of a growing, fiery rivalry with British Number 1 Not_Even_Amateur, a semifinalist at Wimbledon and, now, a Top 10 player. What do you think of this rivalry?
PSALT: Yes, we are quickly becoming top players. The reason we are becoming rivals is because we are both outspoken. People like Dave who have great results but are rarely talked about is because he seems content with staying in the shadows, of sometimes, lesser players then himself.
USTA: Who do you think has the upper hand on the rivalry right now?
PSALT: In small tournaments NEA. Right now though in Slams, I have clearly the upper hand. At the end of the day what will people remember? Slam finals. I think most people would rather have beaten John, Vanessa, and Bizet and got to a Major final then won some Tier IV's and III's
