Roger Federer's Dominance at No. 1

Here you discuss Roger Federer's dominance at No1.
What do you think? How long will it last?

What about GS wins? Is he going to reach the plateu of Sampras, Laver and Borg?

He had some minor downs and back in the summer we were even discussing the possibility of Nadal ending as No1. Nadal has been winless since and Roger is still dominating.

Here are some comparisons:

He's amazing, and will be for awhile, so now we sit back and watch Womens tennis until he retires, and maybe catch a few clay matches vs Nadal. I am actually getting really excited for clay season to see if Nadal can keep the streak going, and if roger can finally beat him on the stuff. Right now is really boring.

It's absolutely SICKENING. Basically, he has two-three years to break the monumental 14 Grand Slam plateau. If he doesn't, then he's not going to do it.

Federer has a wonderful game, and is an amazing player. With that said, this is getting old FAST. Womens tennis is getting boring because of all the injury's, then in men's tennis Federer wins every event he enters unless it's on clay or slow hardcourt with someone by the name of Nadal on the other side of the draw. SOMEONE challenge him on fast surfaces, PLEASE!! Watching him play is great, but for the sake of the game someone needs to beat him. Why would anyone want to start watching tennis when someone is so utterly dominant? Men's tennis simply isn't competive enough to attract new fans.

Saying this as a Fed fan, I am terribly bored with men's tennis at the moment. Nadal is just simply not winning on fast courts, even though I thought this would change after Wimbledon. Yes, Federer makes phenomenal shots and everything, but could somebody else please step it up? Rolling Eyes

I sense this might become a problem for Federer in the future:

Not the eye Laughing , but the ankle. He seems to be rolling on it so much....

I think Federer will catch up to everyone. I mean he is tating the mens game. He can play on all surfaces one thing some of the players you mentioned, tennis fan can not. Like everyone said just sit back and enjoy the ride to tennis history
