Golovin should watch out for Stosur. Looks like it could be a good match.

Elena Dementieva has pulled out. She will now fall out of the top 10 after not defending her final.

Blake apparently hit a hole-in-one when he played a round of golf at La Quinta. That must have felt good.

Congratulations everybody! Since EVERYBODY picked either Sharapova, Hingis, or Ivanovic, for the women's tournament, we all get a grand total of...
ZERO POINTS!

Yes, that's pretty remarkable for a tennis player. No, tennis players usually translate into pretty good golf players, but it's remarkable golf professional or not.
And leftys, about all our Fantasy Picks, . Just shows how strange the results of this tournaments are (sort of) so far.

I know, it's been a weird day!
Sharapova out, Hingis out, Ivanovic out with a bagel set given to her, Jankovic out, Petrova out(although that's not that surprising given Golovin has a fantastic record against her), Chakvetadze out. That means the only top 8 seeds remaining are Kuznetsova and Vaidisova.

And there will be one top 8 seed left in the semis as Sveta and Nicole play each other in the quarters.

more than likely. Hantuchova has been playing the best I have seen her play in a LONG time though. She getting more balls back than normal, and is not an error machine like she used to be. she still makes errors, but not as bad as it once was.

I don't know... Kuznetsova can be pretty streak at times. If she continues playing the way she has, though, she should win the title.

I think it will be intresting. I have a feeling that Hauntchova will be able to pull it out. She's been really hitting the balll nicely this week. Espically her forehand. But kuznetsova will for sure be the favorite.

Hantuchova wins IW 6-3, 6-4 over Kuzy in the final.

Dani deserves this one. She has played amazing this week. She is so much more patient on court. She's not going for winners early on in rallies anymore. I was very impressed

Wonderful! It's great Hantuchova is back into the swing of things. This is, actually, her second IW title in five years. Hopefully, she can build on this.

On another note, it was nice to see Lindsay commentating for ESPN.
I hope she does more commentating in the future, she has a very pleasant voice to listen to. Even if only for the California events.

Lindsay has a sweet voice and also knows her tennis!

I agree with the Hantuchova win and Lindsay's commentating; both were great. Hantuchova really did show true class on the court and with very focused throughout the entire match. Obviously Kuznetsova didn't play her best, but she just wasn't able to beat Hantuchova at the level she was playing at. Well done to her.
