News TickerI added a news ticker at the top of the page for FTL, in hopes of making it sort of like the ones found on the ATP and WTA websites. Feedback? Good or bad?

It's good... I think it could be better if you could make it so that you can go to the actual draw sheets when you click on "PSALT prevails in Sydney!" or "Ying-Chang sends signal to the tour". I'm not sure whether that's possible though....

I think it looks great. As the season rolls on, there should be more messages to make it more interesting.

Yes I know. I am still trying to figure out how to do that though.
Does anyone know how to make a link that doesn't read the actual link in html?
Example: I want t go to www.blahblahblah.com when I click on PSALT prevails in Sydney!

Ye I love it! Totally agree about the link though; I actually TRIED clicking the Ying-Chang one because I wasn't fully aware of the story. Whether there was an interview or simply the tournament, so ye...a link would be brilliant. I love it on the whole though.

I like it. I had a heart attack when I saw my name out of the blue though
Also, I know a lot of the time you PM Dave and I to do the 'Breaking News' stories (there will be one in my preview for the other people, BTW ). What about using the ticker for some stories too? Then Dave or myself can follow up on it?

Yes, I will try to update it daily and include some "breaking news" stories in it. However, sometimes I can't just write something on the ticker without explaining it; in those situations (which there may be many) I will still PM you guys.

I love the news ticker! It's a great idea, and could be used for forum updates aswell
Yes I think it would be great to have it linked to the news articles aswell.

I see you figured it out, Percy , but just for future reference for everyone, on your posts and in your signature, you can make links in the following fashion (without having the URL visible):

Thank you. That's very good to know.

It's nice. It will also be nice if it would connect to an article and not just the draw for that particular tournment. But as a whole it is very nice and will be an easy fast way to get news out on the fourm.

I love the ticker. The minute I saw PSALT's name I was like "PSALT's coup is complete. He has taken over!"
Anyhow, it is really good. Putting scores on it would be great!
