My First Match, and a win!

I played the first serious match ever of my career, and won 8-3. It was a qualifying match for our first tournament tomorrow, so I am number 1 seed! My opponent got up 3-1 early because I kept missing easy put-aways! How do I stop needing so much time to get into the match?

Great job Stevos on the win. Sometimes it takes people a little time to warm up. It is good though that you are able to turn it around and pull it out so easily.

Thanx, tommmorow it is double elimination, so I have to win 2 matches I think to for sure be in the next tournament, otherwise my season is over!!

Okay so today was the tourney and I came second, so I get to go on to the next tournament! I was so happy today, sadly I had to beat one of my teammates and put him out of contension, I beat him 8-3, he kind of broke down on the court! But it was double elimination as I said and I went out playing my first match and lost 8-3! I was pretty nervous because I had to win my next two matches to make it to the next tournament, and I was dying to go! So in my next match I beat my opponent 8-4, it was tied at 4 all but I got my game on and there was no stopping me then. And then I played my teammate to go to the final, which I lost 8-5, to the guy that beat me in the first one. I was happy tho, because he was an exchange student from spain so he gets to practice all year round! Laughing

He was a really nice, polite guy so I didnt feel too bad losing to him, if I had of beat him in the first final I wouldve had to play him again to win since it was double elim and he hadnt lost before that, and we were already the only people left playing! ANyway sorry for the marathon post but I was just too ecstatic! In my next tourney I'll probably be playing guys way more skilled than the ones here, and today to win I pretty much just counter-punched it to easily win, but should I stick with that or go for more shots?
