Murray vs. Roddick... the Next Great Rivalry?Very interesting article:

Could Murray-Roddick potentially be the next great rivalry in men's tennis?
BTW, make sure you take a look at the video with Murray's strokes. It's scary how hard and accurate he hits it, considering how much effort he is putting into hitting the shots.

I would say no. Neither one of them are GREAT players (as of yet at least). I consider a great rivalry to be one where they meet in big finals. I don't they these two will ever do that. I don't think we will ever have a Murray-Roddick Slam final, or something of that nature. They might have a interesting relationship through the years, but I seriously doubt we will look back on this after they retire and compare it to Mcenroe-Borg, Evert-Martina, Seles-Graf, ect., ect.

I personally don't think Roddick will be a name associated with Agassi, Sampras, McEnroe, Borg, etc., but I think Andy Murray has some serious potential. Perhaps he won't be as great as some of the players mentioned above, but I would be surprised if he doesn't have at least four Grand Slam titles by the time he retires....

that might all be very well and true, that does have bearing on their rivarly however. these two will never meet in a Slam final, therefore they will never have the 'Next Great Rivalry'
