So the race is FINALLY updated for you all (which I don't even think anyone noticed that it hadn't been updated since day 11 ), and NEA is currently number 4 in it, and I believe he is the first member top seed at a tier 1 ever It's always him breaking the barriers, isn't it? Except that Grand Slam one
Anyway, I have Bizet first round, which I have mixed feelings about, plus there could be another canadian matchup in the quarters.
Leftys got Yoda in her quarter, which is scary. And NEA has an okay quarter, with Johnny.
Jbors is against trinky again, I feel for him! I see tricatrina winning again.
And I think Dave is in this quarter too, so a possible member qf there too.

I am doing JoJo (he was boring as usual, I came out and said he was pathetic to his face, he did nothing about it ), and NEA. Maybe next time.

I noticed too stevos, btw, am I meant to be helping you with that? I noticed I am now a mod in that section! I think I am meant to be helping you a bit, if you want to make any kind of arrangements with checking or me doing anything to help PM me please stevos!
P.S. I am going to interview you for TENNIS Magazine, I have some spare time on my hands so I will do what I can to make this clay season more interesting, I am sure you will not dissapoint stevos!

Well I have definitely calmed down a bit, but I think I threw a couple snarky remarks in there.
Anyway, yes some help would be great, but right now I am okay. However over the xmas holidays I will need you to help me do it once or twice, I can send you my excel sheet which makes everything easier when it comes to that.

Speaking of interviews, I need some controversy. Last season some people thought the controversy was overkill, this season, however, there is none whatsoever (outside of things Percy has posted with Chang). I am thinking of trying out a 'Musing's' section, in which I would point out interesting stats, maybe get people mad at each other, ect., ect....

I agree. Ying-Chang is boring now it has been overused that much because there is nothing else! I could easily stir up some controversy last time, but I don't know if I want to.

Somebody should start a "magazine", not nearly as long as Tennis, but have some stroke analysis and such. Have some racquet talk and some off court things.

I was thinking something along these lines. I think this would be a great idea and I would like to contribute...I think I could write articles and such, but not necessarily scheduled. It could be about various things. I think this is the basis for a good idea; a magazine, or something, to which everybody could contribute. However, I am not quite sure if it addresses PSALT's issue.

I agree, last year was so controversial, sometimes over the top, but still it was exciting. I think we need a good medium, because right now there is not enough. Partly I think Jbors has died down ever since I've been owning him this season, so he has nothing on me.
PSALT still has his comments, but they aren't as often and slightly held back right now.
And I am less insane

I've got only one interview this season (the start of the season). I have had few chances to try to make any controversy.
A magazine could help. Every once in a while a member could write an article about another player, their game, ect.. That could stir up controversy. Things like that. There could be a certain amount of opinionated articles. I could use that quite easily.

Everyone having their own column could be too much. I'm sure some people would be willing to always do the same ones every time a new 'issue' came out. Doublea might be willing to always do an equipment section, and I'm sure we could go from there. For the controversy sections, we could pick out a number of articles (I would think two-three) then have people volunteer to do one for that issue.
That was very scattered, but work with me.

It is just I got thinking, in fact I PM'ed Percy about it a few days back, after I did an interview with Vanessa how easily I could write an article type piece on certain goings on within the tour. There are problems with saying: ok every tournament. Ok every season. They get slightly tedious. I still really enjoy reading PSALT's previews but now they are no longer such a novelty, they are now the norm. We do not have to put a scale or limit on EVERYTHING, some things can just be spontaneous.
Here is how I see it:
we could divide a magazine into parts so that we do have, as you say, certain pieces about various things; off-court section, equipment etc!
it could be run monthly and have an editor whom all the articles/ideas/bits and pieces get sent to via PM.
the editor then SELECTS the parts that are suitable, relevant and best
the editor could pass these on, or do it themselves, to a team/individual of designers (x.doublea/leftys are ideal for this designer role (see wallpaper website) ) and they put the magazine together and then release it!
the editor can also write "editorials" on absolutely ANYTHING and PERHAPS contribute slightly to the magazine
This is still very sketchy but more detailed and substantial than any other idea we so far have! I would quite like to be the editor if something like this came to pass and it is absolutey IMPERATIVE I think that this would run on a monthly basis, or something like that, meaning it would never lose its novelty!
Let me know what you guys think...
