Big shame about Henman, but I think it is pointless when players go to Australia just for the Australian Open and are adimant they won't play anything else, it seems a waste of journey. I hope he will 'hit the ground running' as he says in February. He usually does very well at those indoor tournaments.
Mark Philippoussis had a successful surgery (another one  ) and could be back again in 6 weeks. I really hope he can play at his highest standard again and not get injured. Perhaps skip the claycourt season and focus on challengers until the grass season. This really is the last injury his career can take.
