fantasy tennisi have one question about this fantasy tennis thing. if everyone keeps picking the same person for fantasy tennis (like roger federer) it will get boring. so what will you do about that????

hmm....yeah thats a good question.....but somebody might go for an underdog to win....but its true that LOTS of people are going to go for fed to win.....i would ask the same thing too...

Can I do anything about that? Federer is not playing in everything, and if you think he's going to win, then he should be your pick. The Fantasy Tennis League will only be as interesting as the pro tennis tour is.

They are not included in Fantasy Tennis, but there are the Heineken Open and Medibank International.

yeah you could pretty much say federer for every one that he plays in. he has a chance on every surface.

Unfortunately I just realized that the draws for next week's tournament will rpobably not be ready by Thursday, since the previous tournaments are still going on. I have no idea how long we will have to wait (maybe saturday  .

Ok this is important everyone. Since the "pre-qualifying" for the Medibank International starts tomorrow, I think the draws won't be out until Sunday. This means that you have from Sunday to Monday morning (Eastern Standard Time) to post your picks. This may go for other tournaments throughout the year if the draws don't come out until this late. Maybe, if we're lucky, the draws will be out by Saturday (cross your fingers!).

Ok, the qualifying for the Medibank International (WTA) began today, on Friday. The main draw matches begin on Sunday. This is a problem because I have no idea when the draws will be ready on Saturday, or maybe even Sunday. Anyway, at least for this tournament, I will probably close the topic for picks Sunday night (Eastern Standard Time), although I am still not positive.

Did the picks close last night at Sat. 12:00 am.? I just tried making a pick and I was shut out (it's Sun. afternoon on the East coast). I figured I might have missed the cut off time because that tournament has already started, even though its still Sun. in the States. If that's the case, oh well. Just curious but when most of the tournaments start on Mon., that means we have to get the picks in the next before (Sun. at midnight)?

The tournament started today, so I had to close it last night. It seems that alot of tournaments are starting on Sunday now, so things are going to stay confusing for a little while. It annoying because I'm in EST, but many of the tournaments are on the opposite side of the world, so I just try to be consistant with my closings. I can't stay up until 4:00 in the morning, so the draws will probably close at either 12:00 AM on Sunday, or late sunday night (like 9:00 or something PM). Just make sure you look ahead of time so you know when it is closing. If anyone missed it this time, tell me NOW and I will let you pick, since play has barely started. This is only because it is the first time and everyone (including me) is confused.

Depends. I check it a several times a day, and the fantasy tennis thing took some time, but overall it's really not that bad. I enjoy it (which is why I am running it)  .

I am "allowed" to post my oppinions, but I don't think it is wise. Since I am the admin, I don't want my views to affect anyone else's. Plus you can see my oppinions on the CP board if you really want to.

Unfortunately I cannot allow any more picks because many matches have gone underway already. I'm sorry about the confusion around this tournament; it's only one of many, many tounaments and there are alot of people who missed it, and for this I am sorry. In general just expect the picks to be on Saturday, sometimes even Sunday.
