Reconsidering my "yes" vote for Off-topic section! Only joking.
Errr...thoughts right now, well I am reading a novel: Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks and right now I am thinking what an awfully good book it is!

For school, I have to write an essay on the book A Prayer for Owen Meany. Basically have to argue that the book is an allegory of the New Testament.

Wow that sounds oh so interesting! I have to write an essay on Hamlet which IS actually very interesting. Is King Claudius a villain or a gentle, kind King? Hmmm, I wonder.

It's the CISAA (the 'league' of independant schools in the Greater Toronto Area)'s cross-country championships. Top two teams can send five members to OFSAA (last year I went, but this year, probably not... three weeks with an ankle sprain killed it. )

Yes, it's Thunderbay. Well, from what I understand, the CISAA already has reserved seats and hotels, and the winners receive it. I've never been to Thunder Bay before... I don't think I'll go this time around as well.

Nope, I did skiing and got 2 OFSAA golds and 2 sivers. Team of course. I would run XC if I wasnt doing tennis and volleyball at the time. And Basketball is during skiing this year and we are going to have an intense team so I might now ski sadly.

Stevos, I believe me and you relate to each other pretty well. I procrastinate just because I know I can, and still get good grades. I am so much wittier and quicker than my teachers that I can manipulate them into believing anything. Its great. When I have to study or do something I will, but if not, and I know it won't hurt me, I will BS my way through it and just get it done. Hey, it got me into a pretty good university, so I am happy with it!

Amen. Maybe thats why we clash in the game on here. I almost never study for tests and get around 90% average, but sadly this year my math course is such a bitch I have to do a lot of work just to get an 80. However my other classes are still fine. What uni did you get into?

Oh shut it NEA. Just because I don't talk "intellectual" on here doesn't mean I can't do it in real life. As hard as it is to believe, I am actually a pretty bright kid. And I wasn't trying to brag. I am a very good public speaker and I always have been. My best project in the class was my debate against a fellow classmate (she pairs us with people who are at our level of public speaking, and I was in the top two), and I won by the biggest margin in class.

You weren't trying to brag? You really need to read over...it was pathetic. And you just did it again "I am a great public speaker" "I won by the biggest margin in our class". I would never dream of saying such things without being directly asked, then again I am quite modest...

NEA, leftys was complaining about something in her public speaking class, and previously in the topic (or another topic, it was at the same time I know for sure) we were all talking about our current courses and the stuff we had to do in them, so just to make conversation I truly stated that I did well in my public speaking class, especially in my debate. I was only trying to add to the conversation. I was in no way intentionally trying to make others feel like they were lesser than me. Then somenone said If I was good at debated then I would make a good lawyer. I in turn restated something that my teacher had told me, which was completely honest and I dont find to be bragging. In my most recent post I was just restating what I had said before. The truth behind it is NEA, is that you don't know anything about me. I am actually a very modest person. I don't like to put other people down at my expense at all. I am in no way intentionally trying to make other people on this board feel bad (with the exception of fantasy tennis, but that is not real life). The reason I made this extrememly long post was because I took offense to what you have said about me NEA. You really don't have any clue what kind of person I am, and it is wrong for you to make assumptions. Without being able to see my facial expressions or hear my tone of voice you cannot correctly determine whether or not I was bragging. If I were to have said to leftys "Oh man public speaking is so easy. I have no problem in that class. I did so well on everything, especially my debate. I honestly have no idea how you could be mad about having to do something for that class when it is so easy." I would never say anything like that.

Haha, and yeah I saw one in New York at the big stage thingy, what was it, I don't know but I think its the lincoln centre. Anywho I was with my band, it was interesting, and good that they had the subtitles on the screen in front of our seats. But seriously, one subtitle said "So and so killed the king!" and this lady sang about it for about 25 minutes, without the subtitle changing once! So insanely boring at that part.

You bet it did! "Mom, my tooth fell out....(5 minutes later) Mom, can we go?[...] Please?" and etc.
I'm talking about how tennis advanced in general, like how in the very early stages, people didn't even use racquets and just used clusters of rubber thrown against walls like handball. And i'm paralleling it with how it was like how humans advanced from primate to human. And in the part about the common era, because the rules were established, tennis was able to evolve in other ways instead of renovating rules, such as ball weight, racquet technology, string technology, the physical fitness of a player, etc.
