Well, I was going to buy a opera overview book today, but I wasn't too pleased with the author's CD recommendations, so I left it on the rack.

I got a book for Christmas called 'The Rivals'. It's about the rivalry between Evert and Navratilova. So far it has been a very good read.

Yes, I have, it's quite an odd story. Lottery is not all you expect it to be, it's quite creepy actually.

I read Anna Karenina not too long ago. I just finished Great Expectations. I started Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte a couple of days ago.

Well.... all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others!! ( Great book!)
I just got a hold of someone's autobiography and I started reading it. It is so interesting. My mom happened to have met the son of the author who gave her the book. The book is called "My Life - Biographical Historical Recollecions by Demetris G. Karampas"
He was born in 1901 and died in 1996. It is like reading the 20th century history in the eyes of a man who fought in two World Wars... so interesting!

I read all the time....about a book or two a week....mostly 20th Century U.S. History...which makes sense since I'm a 20th Century Historian....I'm reading
Richard Reeves President Nixon: Alone in the White House
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
Ellis' His Majesty an insightful lood at George Washington.
These books and my research keep me pretty busy.

I did notice that...
| Quote: | Historians are like deaf people who go on answering questions that no one has asked them
~ Leo Tolstoy |
I wouldn't change it...I'm not offended....I think its kind of funny and ironic.

PSALT, I did notice your quote when you put it up and I loved it! It is so true sometimes. Personally I am an nut for history books and autobiographies. So I do good in Trivial Pursuit. My friends call me "TMI" often. They say that I give too much information even if I am not asked. I guess that what historians are all about!
Rattler, did not know that you are a historian. I thought that you were a tennis coach... I guess you can be both!
